Has web 2.0 died as a link building method ?

I got around 300 Web 2.0 d0follow backlink source in my database, 70% .com others residential TLDs, everything is fine.

thats a lot, i have over 100, but havent used them for a while & as im going through them they have either been turned into paid models, or are not web 2.0 sites any more.

the paid models are obviously aimed at less informed people because for the same money or less you can get your own domain & hosting etc

if you create good post (not AI garbage) and connect it to google search console, you should be able to index it. use the index URL option in search console.

ok, this is the difficult bit,

when you say "create good post (not AI garbage)"

realistically you cant hand write thousands of pages of unique content.

im using article forge, on my money site it has thousands of pages indexed in google that were made using article forge. so its definitely not garbage.
& a lot of those pages rank in google (in a difficult market)
the web 2.0's use article forge as well.

do you mean - put a handwritten page on a web 2.0 with all the urls of the other web 2.0s ?

Semrush bot and google bots are completely different so if semrush indexed them than it didn't mean that google also indexed them.

i know, but im just saying that semrush has managed to find them, i know they are very different, but google has a lot more resources than semrush, so if semrush has managed to find them & include them in their backlink profile then i would of thought that google would have found them

i know, but im just saying that semrush has managed to find them, i know they are very different, but google has a lot more resources than semrush, so if semrush has managed to find them & include them in their backlink profile then i would of thought that google would have found them

Now a days google using their bots carefully, To fight with spam they don't index any pages easily.

They are okay. I find web 2.0s to be a time consuming task to do manually. I find they just don’t pack the punch like they used too.

dont make it too obvious. i am talking about up 3-5 links at time. these are you other tier 1 and 2 links. once they are indexed, remove them and do the next batch.

NOT all of your tier 1 and 2 links should be indexed this way.

Even some of them called those foundation links "dead" and spammy - as it is abused by the SEO specialists in the early 2000s.

We cannot say those links are most powerful ones like other guest posts, but it can be used to diverisify your backlink profile, can be used as tier links and foundation for new websites

ok, i get what you are saying now, yes i appreciate they might not be as powerful as they one were, but if they are ******** & coming from an authority domain then its another link from another ip address, so it helps.


if its relevant, the terms im targeting are difficilt, but small terms, but there are a lot of them, so if i get a ******** link from an authority domain then that would help each page i am linking to.

the problem is if there are not getting indexed then nothing else matters
