WTF is going on with PayPal

same thing happened to me in 2020, my account jus suddenly got asked to upload some document and after ive done what they asked, they immediately suspend my account (and held the fund for 180 days), have tried to call the customer service in singapore to ask why did my account got banned, they won;t even try to make up a valid reason and just basicly "our system just suspend your account we dont't know why tho, deal with it".
been using wise/ crypto ever since, sure not having paypal can be seen as "shady" or suspicious by some customer, but i prefer losing some customer, than to trust paypal ever again with my money

Currently speaking with a solicitor and taking legal action vs. Paypal. Someone from this forum charged back $5k after I completed the service and Paypal rolled over, everytime I opened a chat conversation they closed it and told me to go to the "local authorities".

Unsurprisingly, their stock price is lower than the COVID crash. Who would have thought?
That's fucked. I have had 1,5-2 K charged back here but I have always won.

Never take large amounts from newbie accounts.

Because realistically BHW has no power and its in the hands of credit card company / paypal who sided with the buyer, as usual. And he is not an active user, account ban would not bother him at all.
Exactly the same thing happened here, the fellow who gave me order he reached via mail. I don't know from where he got my mail.

He asked me to do Forbes Mentioned Post it took 1 month to complete the order and later soon after completion of the order 2 days later he raised dispute. By the grace of God we won the dispute.

Seems like I need to wait for 180 days. This really sucks man. They didn't even replied to mail.

Always same, thats how PayPal steals all the money.
That happend like 4 times for me now.
Kick them..
Move to any other payment methods, if money goes held like this, it will effects your business.

I would, but the problem is, PayPal is trusted like everyone has it.
I moved to crypto but people like "what is that???" i know there are 100 other payment methods, but yea.

If everyone said that, everyone would still use Paypal.

The way I see it is this:

If someone is ONLY WILLING TO PAY WITH PAYPAL, then their intentions are NOT GOOD. The reason they want to use Paypal is because if they decide at any point they dont like anything they can just call credit card company, whether or not you were right or wrong you have a good chance of losing the money. And if you are unlucky like me, Paypal will sell the debt to a debt management company and close/kick you out of chat every time you try and talk to their customer service.

If someone is worth your time, they won't care about normal card payment gateway.

Its not about getting rid of paypal completely. Its about making them just one of the 5-15 payment options you offer. And the one you discourage the most (no bonuses on paypal payments, high minimums, asking clients to pay you via other means if they can, etc).

Then there are other things you can do regarding paypal to stay under the radar and safe-ish.

Happened to me waited for those 180 days, and after Paypal just took the money (for damages caused or something like that) leaving on account $0.01 even if all 2 chargebacks, for fraudulent purchases, in the amount of about $100 were settled. So paypal just took the rest - about $1000.

yeah their customer service sucks, can't even pay for a decent customer service, even when they charge high transaction fees, and super low currency conversion rate, wise are much better than them

Yes, Because of this reason I started receiving payments via Stripe and Wise Transfer. If I receive any payments via PayPal again they will hold my payments again. And I don't want to get this happened again.

Sorry for your lose.
I don't have any chargebacks or dispute cases on my account it's very clear. Hope they will release my funds. BTW what payment methods you are using now?

True, Wise Transfer and Stripe charge very low exchange fee when compared to PayPal.

Stripe with radar and Wise to send payments.

They say they will get back to you within 2-3 days, any update on this?

No, Not a Single Update from PayPal.

I see that’s really suck, I guess all that money will be available next year then, that is even if they desire to release it to you, not sure if they have obligation to do that…

Even for some small sum of money it was very hard to get after the 180 days passed, for me at least…

Can't do anything now and I hope they will release my funds without any problems. I expect they will release soon as 180 days is too long.

Sellers don't like paypal. Buyers love paypal. A customer will only ude paypal because it offers them safety. So they always have a way to return their funds in case something went wrong. A buyer will always choose paypal because they dont trust the seller. A seller will always hate paypal because they dont trust the buyer, and the cycle goes on.

Personnaly I wish paypal goes out of business
