They are a big fan of AI content, at least when generating by them. They are not fans of indexing AI content produced by others .

Have you seen the October spam update yet? Most of the sites that got hit are a result of carelessly implemented AI content. So...

I am quite sure it had nothing to do with AI content but rather with some other patterns that are easy to detect like thousands of pages pushed daily, maybe some common AI generated text footprints.
I do not think that running an algo to detect AI content applied at whole web scale is feasible even with Google's resources.

My point is when AI content will be advanced enough they won't need to provide answers using SERPS but would rather answer queries directly with AI Generated content using their own models.
The only way to get traffic from Google will be via Google ADS

Google will soon patent all electricity and allow generation of that only to some people in the world.

We will not be able to train our models anymore and win with their models because it will not be allowed to use electricity for purposes different than writing content using our keyboards. This will be all verified guys, so better prepare your asses.

The parameter that Google puts to rank the first places in the SERP, will be what the AI will copy. The AI text is more sophisticated than the copywriters I used to pay. Sometimes the articles just doesn't have depth, but you can't even tell if Google wants depth since the last update.

The more Google tries to avoid SEO specialists, the more bizarre the SERP results get.

If I were Google, I would have stopped at the update that focuses on optimized content(focus in depth). Now my site is full of AI text, backlinks(with AI text on partner sites) and has better results.

Nnn words means *500-600* the amount you put? Are the results satisfying? Do you need to edit them or just copy pasting the article is Enough

NNN stands for the number of words, ie. 500. Make sure you set the number of max tokens accordingly, using a multiplier of 1.3. 500 words = approx. 650 tokens.
The results are satisfying in my point of view. There is no further editing needed. I have published a number of articles (created with davinci-002) on an expired domain with DR/DA > 30 and the content ranks in the top 10 SERPs. Use a plugin like internal link builder and you'll get great results and traffic.

There is plenty of examples on openai. Just play with it and your own instructions. The engine is fairly smart to understand instructions.

Let me tell you that if the content is not engaging I doubt content straight out of the AI can have a SEO performance.
Even if this model is improved, it is still without its own intelligence, it's just spills out words that are likely to occur one after another, based on large corpus text written by humans.

It depends on your needs. Some people like writing assistants, others (like me) prefer to create content from scripts.
