I have around 10 keywords that keeps jumping up and down from top 10 to 100 and thencome back to top 10 based on Semrush

This has happened for 2 months now and I don't know if it is considered normal

What do you guys think? Have anyone witness this kind of situation?

There are various reasons for fluctuations in the ranks. Your website may be hit by the latest algorithm updates, your competitors may have published high-quality contents with good backlinks, the backlinks of your competitors may have improved, and your existing backlinks may be broken or considered spam.

This is normal, you can't expect to always stay on the same position.
Yes, I know it can't always stay on the same position but the changes look so odds.

I mean one day you are on the top then the next day rock bottom and that just keep repeating when I don't even do anything. My other keywords (the same category) only change around 10-20 rank in a day.

you're right but can those create that much changes in such a short time (from a day to a week)?

Honestly, you can't always keep your keywords in that position, there are other website owners who write more quality content to join this competition. Good luck

It depends on how fast your site is being crawled by search engine bots, I think. Sometimes changes will appear in the SERPs within a few days or weeks.

Consider a situation where your site ranks in the first position and a competitor ranks in the second position. Once your competitor does better on-page and off-page SEO than you, obviously you will get downgraded from the first position, and you will get replaced by the competitor. It could happen even if you did nothing wrong or made no changes to your SEO metrics. It can also happen the other way around.

I think it's just a rotation of sites without links or few links, if the site had a good link weight, then the positions would change a little

This particularly happens for all new sites that are still in the sandbox
Lasts for about 7 months

SERP always in a state of change.

If the query is more competitive, the sites that rank for that query fluctuates. It might happen in your case.
Stay stable and keep analysing your competitors.
Good luck

If you recently optimized them this is normal. The fluxuation will get smaller and smaller until it lands where G thinks it should be. Just let it do its thing for a while and optimize again in a few months if it isn't where you would like it to be.
