aHrefs has become a fucking joke

Still hoping for a BF deal but seems they dont really give a fcuk

SEMRush goes smooth to me.. My team still is using Ahrefs as well.

This is what credit means in Ahrefs.

  • On the older plans, Ahrefs used to provide separate limits for each feature. As on the Agency plan they used to provide ( 1000 keyword explorer , 1000 site explorer, 1000 content explorer searches) per day. So it is 90,000 searches in a month. Now they provide 500 Reports in a month. Each report means, when you search in keyword/site/content explorer/batch analysis/domain comparison = 1 report is consumed. So, It depends on you How you will use those report credits. You can do 500 keywords search or site analysis or content explorer or batch analysis. each search consumes 1 report credit.
  • When you search a query (site/keyword/topic/batch analysis) it consumes 1 credit.
  • On keyword explorer/site explorer, after searching a Keyword when you Visit Related terms/Matching terms or other sections from left side it consumes 1 more credit. When you see serp/position of any suggested keywords it consumes 1 credit. When you apply any filter, it consumes 1 credit per filter. When you update SERP , it consumes 1 credit.
  • On-site explorer after searching a site when you visit any features from the left panel (Like Organic keywords, Backlinks, Top pages, broken links, Broken contents, etc) it consumes 1 credit per each feature you visit. When you apply any filter, it consumes 1 credit per filter.
  • When you apply any filter on the results it consumes 1 credit for each. When you change/put anything on the marked section it consumes 1 credit.

No wonder the credit runs out quickly. Just how badly does Ahref want their users money.

Everyone should just block Ahrefsbot with robots.txt. lol

If majority of websites block their data scrapers, maybe they'll offer fair prices.

not likely, but one can dream.

there is another way: use group buy ahrefs account. Cheaper than official ahrefs pricing

Group buy is one of the best way for this. Try something like that.

Subscription pricing matters. Even if you jump to Moz or AHRefs or Semrush only of you opt for higher plans, stuff will be active and no more magic.

This credit system is an absolute joke and they should be ashamed of themselves to ask for $99+ and then implementing a credit system that completely limits the usage.

I was surprised they first charged money for the 7 days trial, then these clowns removed the trial...then they add credits...what's next? I could easily afford Ahrefs and their higher plans, but do I really want to support such a company? Definitely not
