What is the difference between white hat seo and black hat seo

Hey am New here can anybody help me to understand the difference between white hat seo and black hat seo?

There are many differences between white hat and black hat seo but when I think of whitehat seo I think of on-page seo, manual link building and promotion on social media via appropriate accounts.

I think of blackhat seo as programmatically blasting out thousands of backlinks or building out thousands of accounts on Facebook, Google, TikTok and the like for purposes of promotion.

There are also other activities that would be considered blackhat but we are not allowed to talk about them on BHW.

I am sure others will give other examples.

The difference between the two, to me, is simple. White hat SEO is doing everything within Google or the search engine’s TOS. Letting link building & everything else happen mostly organically.

Black hat SEO, to me, is things like AI content creation, using tools like GSA & RankerX, buying social media likes, etc.

This is just how I view things and have over the years. Others may feel differently.

Basically, whitehat vs blackhat is protein shakes vs anabolic roids. Both will boost your website in search engines, but the second one will boost it to heavens for some time but when it falls, it falls for good.

Black hat SEO is when you game search engines, to rank a site. White hat SEO is when you don't game search engines and it takes almost forever to rank a site because you're Google's puppy.

Whitehat SEO: you do not ask anybody or build the links by yourself. Just random user search about the keyword any landed at your page/post through the SE results and found it useful for their next blog post and include the link. (no one does this in todays world, everyone asks for money) Even the big tech companies like lenovo use link building services.

Blackhat SEO: you build the links through tools, link outreach, paid guest posts or by any other means landed in this category.

Whitehat SEO is SEO done within the search engines "official guidelines". Blackhat SEO is SEO that falls "outside" of the "official guidelines" of search engines.
And do remember that even certain "official guidelines" of search engines (example Google), itself have been found to be unethical by courts of law in certain jurisdictions.
So, as far as SEO is concerned, whether it is whitehat or blackhat, it's "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder.

Blackhat is opposite of that. You do whatever it takes to rank.

The main & basic difference is white hat SEO follow all the google (Search Engine) guidelines. While Black Hat SEO is just opposite from While Hat means it doesn't follow any of SE guidelines.
