Can you still make money blogging about normal everyday life?

Or does it have to be a blog that's about a specific niche?

1. Find a niche
2. Create a good quality website with good design and good sped.
3. Create high-quality unique SEO-optimized content. ( If possible above 700 words )
4. Once you are 3 months doing so constantly start creating some niche backlinks.
5. Wait and keep working until you get your first traffic.
6. Monetise your traffic, and congrats now you made money from blogging.

This can take from 6 months to 2 years, if you put in the work it will take less time!

Don't be afraid of start, just start.

While instagram, twitter, tiktoks etc are the 2022 equivalent of traditional blogging, i'm curious if the old style of a "brick and mortar" website blog about daily life is able to generate revenue.

If you want to blog about your day to day life then my suggestion would be to create vlogs on Youtube and couple it with a wordpress blog. This will help you grow a closed community that enjoys your content irrespective of the keywords and SEO thing.

Make videos on your daily life, post them in your You tube channel and then embed those videos in your blog along with some good text content. In a due course of time you will be able to make money via You tube vlog as well as your Wordpress blog.

I'm guessing you could if you put affiliate links in some of your posts. But overall is not really a very easy niche to monetize. Personal blogs have always been for fun/as a hobby.
