Do plagiarism checkers steal your work ?

Could it be a possibility that plagiarism checker tools may be stealing your work (content) ?
No matter even if they claim "We do not store your shit, your shit gets deleted instantly bla bla bla".
It could be possible that they sell the content of people who use their plagiarism checker tools and hence your content gets copied and someone else pretends to be the rightful owner of that content ?
Any thought on the above, please ?

You could ask the same question about any site that you paste your text/article into. I'd say unless you're using the shadiest-looking site out there to check plagiarism, it's doubtful that they're stealing and selling your content.

We all know that even big companies like Google, Facebook, etc have been convicted in courts of law in some jurisdictions, for violating their own data / privacy clauses.
So, in that case why cannot even the top known plagiarism checker tools, not steal your content(s) ?
When even Google, Facebook are known and in some cases even proved to be doing shady things with people's data, why not the top known plagiarism checker tools could be stealing your data (contents) ?

Why would they?

You could ask if anyone you hire to do keyword research for you, is going to steal your ideas.
Anyone you hire to write content.
Anyone you hire, basically.

In this landscape, anything is possible. Maybe some of the shadier companies that are lesser known might MAYBE do this. Even then, it’s doubtful. Content isn’t really that hard or expensive to acquire.

Companies like QueText, Grammarly, Copyscape all have recurring clientele they’d lose if that got out. Not really worth it in the long run for them.

You have 3 options:
You read the TOS and decide to accept them.
You read the TOS and decide not to use the service.
You do not read the TOS and accept everything.

The Service has also 3 options:
They don't use your work, so they don't write it in their TOS.
They write in their TOS that they use your work.
They don't write in their TOS that they use your work but still use your work. That would be illegal.

Did they try to sell you content? If not, then obviously they doesn't "sell the content of people who use their plagiarism checker". Semrush tried to sell links, did not go well, at all.

As a plagiarism checker platform, you do not get just a sinlge wall of text, you get thousands or even millions of contents being checked everyday by thousands of people. So if you are a rogue as a plagiarism checker platform, you could sell some of those contents on some other platform, with fast turn around time.

If you used shared logins, then anyone can steal your work.

Be very wary of Grammarly Premium that's shared among many people.

Once you upload your work, anyone can copy it.
It's better to install grammarly on Word

No matter what they mention in their ToS or whatever, if they (plagiarism checker platforms) want to steal your work or rather content, they can easily and automatically do that totally on the sly, no doubts about it.
