I always use WooCommerce 100% of the time. Because, it is 1 zillion times customizable than Shopify in my opinion. But that's just me.
I don't think I've ever had an issue with conversion rates either. You can basically make your WooCommerce store/checkout look like Shopify if that's super important to you.

OP everyone is going to chose woo commerce over that shity app. If your sales went down there might be issue with your traffic or you didnt setup it correctly.

Why would you pay rent when you can be the owner?
Woocommerce platform is easy to customize for your needs.
Shopify is for users that have no idea about building a store and don't want to learn.

i find woocommerce a little bit buggy, u have to be very careful & its kinda waste of time tbh but u r focusin a lot on theme & customizing, but i believe in long term its worth it. do u recommand any good theme ? something simple like brooklyn on Shopify^^ thanks
No idea, i have tried different tweaks, yet its slow, i migrate everything the same & still low results
true! thats why im moving out from there, nowadays they close ur store without even sending you an Email about it lol
Good point haha! Well im still new relatively new to WooCommerce so its kinda pain the ass tbh, its too fragile, lately tried to change template of the theme & lost all the design that took me days to make lol.. u have to be careful but on long term i believe it will be good

I also like Woo Commerce and by the way, you can just add a shopify option where you pay $9 per month to shopify and get a button that you can add to products and still have your own online store on Woo Commerce.

Got a bit confused, i know about the 9$ plan but normally thats when you wanna have access & edit your store but the home page isn't accessible to the public? correct me if im wrong, but u got me confused on how to link it to WooCommerce

I just can't find a simple clean theme for woocommerce, they all complicated. shopify is really good at doing that sadly

if youre new to WP and find it too fragile, dont worry everyone thinks that. within few months you will be WP expert good enough to be hired as a support agent for all the troubleshooting you will be doing. if all that tinkering is ticking you off...save the stress and go shopify.

I used both, I prefer wordpress because you can customize your website as you want, there are unlimited available themes for any niche. Personally I feel more independent with wordpress than Shopify.

The first thing coming to my mind is the WooCommerce shop setup is not optimized. You should test the connection speed first, from your customer's GEO. If the website is loading very slowly, that would be the reason why the CVR went down.
I would always set up my WooCommerce with a nice VPS provider+Cloudflare+WP Rocket+bunny(or any other CDN), and use less bloating themes. Most of the shining ready-made themes from somewhere like themeforest would be slow and bloating.

Haha true, WP is rlly pain in the ass when its ur first time on the platform, i have been having headaches for some time but i figured it out & made a simple / clean website. Since i dont have to waste anymore , i think im jumping to Shopify & run the store , while building a good woocommerce website & take my time on it & when its ready i will hop on it & leave shopify
by that you mean you can actually customize your website to look similar to a version you created in Shopify?
Hol up, i have never heard of this setup actually! Do i need rlly VPS & Cloudflare to boost my store for better speed? i thought a webhosting is alrdy doing the job

Shared webhosting may be fine for blogs and static websites. But I would never rely on shared hosting when I run a woocommerce shop. It's just my 2 cents.
Anyway, Cloudflare is a must in my opinion. It can somewhat improve the TTFB, but most importantly it helps to improve the security of the website.
