When is indexing api post indexed?

I just tried indexing posts using indexing api and using python. I didn't get any errors. I am wondering;
When will the indexes appear on google?
And also, is it mandatory to add a sitemap in the search console? For Indexing API

Yes, I tried that but I didn't get the expected result. I sent 2000 post index requests with API. Only 16 posts have been indexed since last night. I am looking for a faster system.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any other method.

Isn't this method sort of risky as its just for temp links to jobs?

I can get black hat sites or spam copycat scraper sites just pumping, but white hat sites that are doing well posts normally should be indexed with an hour or two, unless google having a splurge which seems to happen more often these days.

I just worry users using this method on whitehat may get pinged as its not meant for it.

This is just an opinion I have no evidence obviously.
