Ranking a new website

Hello guys, quick question. Is it possible to rank for high volume keywords with a aged website with DA 1? almost no backlinks?

I am ranking for high volume keywords and then my ranking disappears but i have no problem ranking for keywords with like 500 volume.

I guess it depends on many factors. The main is the competition level in this niche. Without backlinks, I think it will be hard.

depends on the niche and competition. If your niche is SEO, web hosting, luxurious resorts, car insurance, surgeries, scholarships, etc... you'll need links (and lots of good ones, too). Otherwise (self improvement, pets, crafts & hobbies) it might work

I'd say just go for low volume keywords, start pulling traffic from this and find a way to push this traffic to your high volume keywords then eventually your higher volume keywords will be able to start ranking

Without Backlinks kind of difficult to rank high competition and high search volume Keyword.
Yeah Domain age is plus point, Fulfill intent of that specific topic then go for some quality Backlinks

There is no clear answer to this. I have seen sites with DA lower than 10 sometimes outranking sites with 40+ DA and with no backlinks.

I don't know how is Google operating these days.

I agree.
The important part though is that DA and DR are third party metrics. There are sites that I am outranking and they have much higher DR and DA values than my site.

The difference is that their backlink portfolios are full of shite, as is the content on the page.

DA / DR and all these metrics mean nothing to google. like others already said, ranking depends on a lot of factors.
so try to add backlinks that usually helps to maintain rankings as its still one of the strongest ranking factors.
also make sure your onpage seo is good enough.

It's all about your niche. If this niche has just become popular, you can get rank on the first page, but this is a general niche - SEO for example - you can't get rank higher. I agree that low volume keywords are safe bet in this situation.

They keywords are low competition. 2 of my websites are aged a couple of years with no backlinks.

I cannot rank for any keyword 1k+ volume. I am having for like 20 keywords under 1k volume

How long ago did you post the content? Also, are they reviews, best of pages etc?
