Flaunt7 Review : DO NOT BUY

UPDATE:

So, They sent me back the refund I asked for since 2020 - $167. They also offered me a Sponsored lifetime hosting.

Doesnt make up for the lost website, but better than nothing.

Oh guys I have an update, and you know it's going to be juicy. It's a short one but it's the last nail.

First of, I received that email on the 25th of August:

Dear XXX (XXX),

We are excited to inform you that as of 10 August, 2022, Flaunt7 has been acquired by Phanes Cloud, (legal name: Phanes Networks B.V.) Flaunt7 had faced a number of structural issues, which our clients had experienced as delayed support response times, long downtimes and server instability. Phanes Cloud looks forward to restructuring the company infrastructure and providing you with more consistent and stable services.

What does this mean for me?

  1. Increased Stability - Flaunt7’s infrastructural issues had caused long downtimes which took a long time for the engineers to resolve. Phanes intends to do a large amount of restructuring to prevent common issues, and make it easy for engineers to resolve the edge case issues that often do come up quickly.
  2. Rebranding to the Phanes Cloud name in the future - Over the years Flaunt7 has built a solid brand by providing affordable, stable and private services to their clients. The model they aspired to was one that caught our attention. One providing affordable and private services with complete transparency between the client and the company. Near their later years, mismanagement had caused sub-par services, long wait times and large downtimes. With this acquisition, we wanted to restructure Flaunt7, staying true to their model of affordable, stable and private services, while resolving the management and structural issues. To communicate this restructuring to our stakeholders, we will rebrand the company name to Phanes Cloud soon.
  3. Change of Currency - Phanes Cloud is based in the Netherlands, and as such we will be shifting the currency from the U.S Dollar to the Euro. As our payment gateways convert currencies automatically, you will have no additional overhead. We will still continue to accept cryptocurrency payments.
  4. More transparency - Phanes Cloud prides itself on being transparent with our clients. You can expect to receive clear information with no hidden costs.
  5. Removal of Free Hosting - Phanes Cloud will no longer be selling free hosting packages. Existing users will be able to continue their packages with no changes.
For the most part, you will see more stability and higher uptimes for your hosting services going forward. Our engineers will take some time to restructure the company’s servers, however once it has been performed we expect our services to be more stable and reliable.

Phanes Cloud would like to thank you, our clients, for your continued support and faith in our services, and we hope to build trust with simple, well functioning and private services. Our company would not be able to reach where we are right now without your continued support.

All good I say, maybe it will change the service and help those who will need it in the future. I'm out anyway focusing on real hoster (ViceTemple and MojoHost)

Anyway, on September 1st, I receive a dispute notification on my Paypal and guess what:

qk6GfLY

This $167 they refunded me a year and a half later? They tried to dispute it on the basis that I did not sent them the "Visa gift card"? Like what? It sounds like a bad scam I know.

Thanks do my close documentation of the problem (including this thread) I was able to win that dispute. But not sure if old Flaunt7 owners or the new company is behind this. But their name is forever tainted (This thread is actually somwhere between #5 and #6 in google for "Flaunt7 review")

Bye guys. It was the last update (it has to be)

@The John Doe Not trying to be rude with you.

But why you still care or expecting they to be better? Move on, change of provider and I'm glad that they finally refunded you.
But that is a red flag, why do you want still care of them? Now move on and never comeback.

For me not refunding for months or years is a big RED FLAG, you should AVOID Flaunt7.
I don't recommend anyone go with flaunt7 they are bad and there are a lot scams and threads about flaunt7 scam and bad support over the internet.

There are many offshore hostings in the marketplace better than them. Just see my old posts and you will see there are many but many.
I can recommend for example Incognet.io, look at their website design. They are privacy based and I use them for projects like freedom of speech.

*I can post a screenshot of my service active, just in case*

Cheers

I know. I gave up. But once a problem has taken me enough time, my goal is that this problem will take them as much time as they took me. Eye for an eye. So now they have an ORM problem in Google. But trust me im done with them.
