How to create millions of backlinks?!

Hi,
I was researching some of my different niches competitors, Rank 1 to 3 , i saw something that i can't handle it with my own knowledge so i need your help with it,
The thing is they have more than hundreds thousands of backlinks and some of them have near one million backlinks,
I know they aren't famous like this which one million people talk about them and i know 100% they're link building.
So how can be the number like that?
I mean if they don't use tier linkbuilding so how can they rank be #1? And if they use tier link building how can they build 1m backlinks? Are the tier2+ links count as the backlinks?
And least but not last, where they find 1 million links to use , is there any bot to do that,gsa and alternatives have these numbers? My logic don't handle this please someone explain it for me

it's never been done before to my knowledge... It would take years of hard work to create an intricate network like that. Years if you are going to make it look natural. Would it ever look natural?

A thing that i figure out few minutes ago, their referring domains is about %10 backlinks that mean they get more than one link from one domain

no i'm not affiliated with them, its just a backlink tool that exists since decades and is able to create millions of backlinks.

Few things you forget to mention in your query is that what's the domain age? If it recently been registered, then they might have acquired an expired domain with a strong backlink profile.
Another scenario is they must have built the backlinks with time to look natural. Sort out the backlink profile through ahrefs and check if the domain registration date and the backlink history matches with each other. It'd be easy to know if they acquired an expired domain or not..
Also check if they are not using any 301 redirects from other domains having good link profile.

Building that kind of massive backlink profile in a shorter period would do more harm than any good in today's time.

Yes, now I think I can conclusion, i didn't though about number of unique domains instead of backlinks and time, with these two that numbers make sense

I don't think Google considers the number of backlinks but the number of Referring Domains because it's more harder to manipulate.

Often when websites have that many links, a lot of them are really spammy links that they're probably ranking in spite of, not because of. You shouldn't be focused on just quantity of backlinks and matching however many they have. It's more likely to hurt or do nothing if you just spam your site with forum comments, GSA, or whatever than it is to help. Go through their links and take a look at ones are actually good. Look for niche edits, guest posts, and PBNs.

You do not need millions of backlinks, you need referring domains.
Anyway, million of backlinks is easy - get a site-wide footer link on site with million of pages.
