Accidentally closed the browser window while writing a post, is it gone forever?

Any way to recover it? Do drafts autosave on here? Or am I just screwed?

Check your thread where you wrote the post... it should save some draft there but it also might depend on your browser settings.. for me it does usually.

If you’re using wordpress, then it should autosave and it will ask if you want to restore when you log back in.

For me it saves automatically. I just tried on this thread, and after reopening the url, my post is still there at the bottom.

As covered above it auto-saves a couple of times a min. unless you're using some ad-blockers where you'll see a big warning across the top of the screen explaining this.

If you visit the thread you were on then it will appear in the reply box at the bottom of the page.
