Every location will have a certain number of local tourist attractions that many people search for. I'm sure you will be aware of these tourist attractions in and around you. Make a list of the tourist attractions and start writing about them. You can also write about things to do, restaurants, unexplored locations, etc. Once you start getting traffic you can monetize using ad networks, hotel booking affiliate sites, or sell ad spaces to local businesses.

I would like to hear about Backpacking depends on the places or even countries. You can make some list with photos. It would be quite easy to use for all your visitors!

So I will start a blog in my native language where I will use the articles you guys mentioned:
I will do a KW research and I will keep my website in my native language - lot's of facebook traveling groups, people engaging in traveling for cheap, easy to promote somehow, competition exists. Still, I think their websites are full of ads, copy-paste Infos mostly and just a few really put some love into their blogs.
The thing which is like a trend in my country are some websites that do " Travel to Rome with 60$ plane ticket + accommodation " which people enjoy - and you can affiliate with booking and momondo for example. I think I will try this too as I really know how to find cheap deals, maybe this will be the main page of my blog and the BLOG will be my secondary for organic traffic & ranking easily.
What do you think?
I think I'll also start a journey, this would be my first informative blog with long articles and SEO stuff, but I know maybe 50% of how to do it properly and I will learn on-doing.

Writing and ideas on travel niche coming by travelling , no mate you can use AI Bots and other sources to get good content over it !
You are at a disadvantage if you are not actually travelling unless you have someone local to get photos, otherwise you are relying on stock photos which are the exact same images most other sites use.
This is one of the things Google have mentioned they want to improve the user experience and stock images detract from this is their thinking.
Same with product reviews from people who have never seen the product and just use stock images.

What if I use some influencers pictures & trying to contact them and mention them maybe buy them pictures ?
I had a travel site 6 or 7 years back and we did a lot of travel ourselves, but I used to hire writers from Upwork and part of the job was they needed to include unique photos and give publication rights / ownership.
I hooked up, not physically, with 2 who were digital nomads and one with her BF were constantly travelling the other was a guy and he used to spend a month in an area/city, then move on to somewhere else for a month, then move on.

Depends on the writer. The girl and her BF I got the articles at a very good rate, this was spending money to them. She had her own travel blog and he was a professional photographer, but most of her stuff was on IG, so images of her in her bikini against a stunning sunset backdrop. The photos I got fro them were without her < obviously > but she could create great articles, quickly and the quality was really good.
Post on some FB groups maybe, I had a writer from Thailand group, who was a retired Brit and did 4 articles about living out there, again for pocket money for him.
