Made over $3000 in 3 days using Reddit

I, myself, really only focus on hateful posts/comments. Some of the stuff I’ve seen in mod discords though is intense. There are tools and people who track everything. It doesn’t take 100 hours when you can scan the word “Reddit” on BHW and check for links/screenshots in 2 minutes. There are default mods who have accounts here. That’s why you should never EVER share screenshots, publicly or privately, with info identifying an account or post.

Affiliate IDs are a huge giveaway and there isn’t much someone can do about it long-term. Same with Adsense IDs. If you’re going to run promotions worth your time, you’re going to run into issues. That being said, most of the focus for Reddit is on giant spam rings with thousands of accounts which rely on quantity over quality. If you essentially stay under the radar and aren’t blatant about self-promotion, you might get banned from a few subs, but your site will be fine.

Even if it just takes 30 seconds to open and scan a post looking for identifying information, you are going to have to scan hundreds, probably thousands, before you find meaningful information. The vast majority of posts about reddit are just people looking for information about reddit, not actually sharing screenshots. It just doesn't make any sense. On reddit, you have a 100% success rate of finding the identifying information, so again, it just doesn't make sense that anyone would spend their time hunting for us on here, rather than just finding us on Reddit directly. It's not effective or efficient, and I understand Reddit mods can just be petty losers who are not that bright, surely someone else would have explained to them that they would catch way more people just scanning Reddit instead of BHW and other IM forums. Even IF they find someone on BHW, then they have to go to Reddit and verify that the user is actually violating the ToS of Reddit and/or their affiliate network. It's a whole extra step that's not necessary if they just scan Reddit.

So sure, we can conclude Reddit mods are dumb as hell, and in general it's best not to share identifying information, but the entire concept just doesn't make sense.

Someone asked why the $3000 is not showing in the original post. This is because it shows payments in another area and if I put that screenshot at least half of BHW will know what affiliate program this is. With that knowledge it wouldn't be too difficult to narrow down which subreddits I would have targeted.
