Woocommerce products Internal Linking question

Hey guys,
Does putting the product that I'm trying to link into the upsell/related product will count as internal linking? Or should I just throw the links in to my description

Personally, I think you should have a link within the description which goes into the product category and a blog post about how you're using that product.

Then other blog posts can do links towards that product.

thanks for the advice, but I'm still wonder if putting products in to the upsell section of other products will count as internal linking? And does it pass link juice?
