Hi, as the title suggests, expired high DA/DR domains, are they worth it to restart a new blog on?

high DA / DR doesn't mean anything if the expired domain....

- is penalized by google;
- has been used as redirect several times;
- has been spammed with asian content when the initial content had not been asian and the domain had not been targeted at the asian market initially;
- changed niche that's totally different to the initial niche;
- has had its DA / DR inflated to sell links off it to newbies;

If these checkboxes are not ticked then yes, it's worth restarting a new blog on (although you might want to create a blog in the same niche, or a niche that's closely related to the initial of the domain)

thanks for clarifying :)

most checkboxes are not ticked except that the niche may be different if I go with a domain that I'm looking at right now.

thanks!

Metrics doesnt matter, only link profile matter. If the domain got links from good sites and got clean history, just go for it.

I usually check the profile backlinks, from Ahrefs and Semrush. Even if the domain had history changed, I still purchased it if it is really strong.

If expired domain has lots of quality backlinks yes it matters a lot.

Those indicators aren’t enough. There are many factors
