Hey guys,

I am new here.

I opened a youtube channel 5 days ago and I am re-uploading my old TikToks (as Youtube shorts videos).

However, it looks like Youtube is not pushing my videos at all, as in like they are not getting picked up by the algorithm (see screenshot attached).

I am constantly getting 2-3-4-5 views (perhaps they are my own views as I opened them and edited them, so it probably counted them as a view).

One video got 100 views, but only because I promoted it on my TikTok channel (1.3M followers).

What should I do? Am I shadow banned? I am posting 3-4 shorts daily and I don't see the reason why they should shadow ban me.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

try to upload some interesting video you should got view.

Why are so many people beginning to face this same issue with YouTube short.

Out of 10 uploads on shorts, maybe 5 get decent views on my end, i think its very random if you get views or not

Many users are reporting this problem happening to youtube shorts.
Try as @proxygo suggested you to upload a longer video and see how the algorithm react!

UPDATE:

I deleted the channel. I even tried uploading 0.45 sec videos but still 1-2 views.

I am now using an old channel where I uploaded one Youtube shorts yesterday (1 view).

In my opinion, videos are interesting, as the same ones are getting 500k+ on TikTok (I am reposting my own TikToks - without watermark)

I am gonna keep posting today and see if something changes. That's frustrating tho.

Keep on uploading bruh. You won't get views after 24 hours unless you got luck and get it instantly. You have to wait for weeks to get views. Unless it's the YouTube update its understandable

well a lot of people were saying this method would be dead soon. maybe they were right?

I think it's normal, just keep uploading

keep uploading regularly and if possible try to do it on same time everyday.

Whats weird is you can find some channels where its still working and some of their shorts get views while many others uploaded right before and after dont.

How long does it take for a new channel to actually have viral Youtube Shorts?

No luck just yet for me and I am definitely creating high quality and entertaining videos.

YouTube Shorts provide the biggest benefit for small, undiscovered channels.

Here are some tips:

  1. Set the country filter to Any so you get results for as many videos as possible.
  2. Go to the search bar and type #Shorts. YouTube advised creators to use this hashtag when Shorts were announced. This search term will show you brief, vertical videos instead of lengthy, horizontal ones.
  3. After typing #Shorts, hit the spacebar and add your channel’s niche or a similar topic. That could be gardening, Minecraft, Bitcoin, seafood recipes, literally anything.
  4. Set the channel filter to Up to 1K subscribers. This helps you find content from small creators getting lots of Shorts views.
  5. On the sort menu, select Views Per Hour. This lets you know how viral a video/video topic is.
When you run this search, be sure to do it multiple times while changing the date range. See which videos are getting the most views per hour within the past 48 hours, seven days, 30 days, and beyond. You can also experiment with the extra filters, such as video category, views, and views per hour.

This strategy shows you which Shorts people enjoy. So when you find videos with many views per hour, watch them in full. Dissect the visual elements and assess how entertaining the video is. Take notes on what you think interested viewers the most.

Sounds good on paper, will play around with it. Thanks for the tips!

Major problem is your channel totally fresh & few days ages. I think you should be wait, keep uploading your videos. And must check shadow banned rules.

You want views in just 5 days, that is not going to happen. Give it few months.
