What do you think about US politicians?

I was visibly stunned when George W. Bush won the election the first time around and still can't believe he would be voted in a second time.

I agree with you... I didn't follow the election too much because I couldn't vote so it didn't really matter.

Well in all honesty it doesn't really matter who you vote for anyways but....

Wasn't it because he ran on a campaign of exactly the opposite of what he is doing now that got him elected?

Most, if not all politicians are bought and paid for.

The truly sad fact about the current state of affairs is that America is asleep. When will this nation decide that is enough is enough and clean out the crap and start over?

If this is suppose to be our government then we need to start taking action before it's too late.

Sadly, most people are more concerned about who will win Survivor or American Idol than the direction this country is heading.

Yep thats the exact problem.

I think most people have simply become too complacent to wanna change anything. They just don't give a shit, they probably think its too far lost anyways.

Most Americans are just drones, same thing day in and day out. They hate their lives, but they deal with it.

But the problem is, they get all their information from the Tard Tube which constantly makes them dumber and more misinformed.

If I were just watching TV all day, I would've thought the only candidates in this election were Obama, Clinton and McCain.

They block out all the good candidates on purpose in order to keep people from knowing they actually have a choice. They just want to push the status quo further and further. American's don't know the difference because they believe the holy TV is telling them all the truth.

Politicians all over the world, arr all the same, there all motherfuckers that don't give a shit about you or me, they are only interested in one thing and that is power and in containing or extent that power, nothing more nothing less.

That is why i don't vote, because it really doesn't matter what you vote, they are going to do what "they" want anyway, you can vote so you have the illusion that you matter, but belief me you don't matter at all, only when you or your problems come in handy for the politician (when it looks good on TV) then you get your 15 minutes of political attention.

So i can't be arsed with political bullshit, i have better things to do then watching the news where some lying cocksucking politician is weaseling his way out of something or blaming others to make himself look good on TV.

I rather go fishing :)

Politicians are alot like Making Money Ebooks/Programs landing pages, 99% of them are fluff with no substance. They play with your emotions, get you to agree they are the answers to your problem and in the end do nothing to benefit you. But yet you keep going back thinking the next time things are going to be different.

I bought into Obama at first but as things progress, hes just another politician, who is gonna say what it takes to get elected and then go back to being a politician. I will say, I don't think Obama or McCain are as sneaky and slippery like the current administration so either will be a slight improvement, how ever neither are going to turn this country around radically either.

There is only one way to get your voice heard, above all the BS...
But it has to be done en masse, by all concerned citizens of any and all countries.
In the US, there is Major corruption in Politics / Religion..

A TAX Revolt is the only way you and I can put a stop to all this BS. But, with the complacancy of People these days, they would sooner bend over and take it in the ass!! than to do anything about it, Guess it is from the lack of intelligence?

Oh Well, Just my 2 cents!

Remember Obama believes in the Muslim Religion!!!

And Dubya went on TV and said, "God told me to invade Iraq!"

Let's just be thankful that as long as world leaders talk to invisible superbeings, the world will be a safe and secure place to live...

Everyone sitting around here bitching about "all the other misinformed/lazy people" need to get a grip.

So you watched a movie on the internet and now instead of buying the popular propaganda you're buying someone else's. Big whoop. You're still buying some other guy's message and touting some other guy's feelings, he just sold it to you better.

If you're here, that means you're not campaigning for office, and likely not securing a future as a politician. You're eating hot pockets and scamming the internet. So don't whine about everyone else not doing anything, because everyone else isn't the problem. YOU are the problem. Because a nation is made up of individuals, and blaming everyone but yourself is the one universal that keeps us all connected.

Good fucking god..finally a voice of reason. I wish I had my 10 minutes back of reading all this shit.

I hate to be cliche and all, but the barbecue ones are frickin' delicious.

I honestly do not think any politician can never be self-serving just like humans are not infallible creatures. They have their own agendas but the interests of the people they serve will never be top of their lists. They'll sing a southern twang or do anything just to get people to believe they'll get work their ass off for them. It has been the law of leverages, the end justifies the means and playing with conscience to get what you want. Look at how the Carlyle Group/Bush family connections has inspired controversies. Anyone willing to put money where your mouth is that there is no conflict of interests?

I'm sippin on a homemade drink right now, well more like a smoothy.

I suggest you all check it out.

Ingredients...

1 apple
1/2 banana
some watermelon
some pecans
some cashews
some walnuts
some pumpkin seeds
and some cinnamon

Blend all that shit together and you have yourself an amazing drink.

On the other hand though Ape, I do agree with what your saying. However, I believe if more people thought for themselves and didn't rely on others to make their decisions I think we would have some better candidates up for election.

But again, I was one of the first to say that this topic is useless to discuss because its just like beating a dead horse. But whatever, I'm gonna enjoy my drink.

Because a nation is made up of individuals...

yeah... individuals who tend to share a herd mentality. society can't accommodate too many free-thinking "individuals."

"never forget... you're a completely unique individual and there's nobody like you in the world -- just like everybody else." -- anon.

I don't even think you needed to ask what most of us on these boards think of US politicians...

There was a point in time where I felt very disconnected and upset about politics and all that, however I'm in a time where I'm trying to block it all out. I need to make some damn money.
