So this is a sitewide punishment? what are the examples of content that is written specificaly for search engines that they consider non helpful?

that always confuses me becuase most articles I see are written the same to attract the searcher. Or are they referring to like spam content which makes no sense and is spun with loads of keywords and links?
 
I believe only crap AI website will be punished.
There is no way google can detect if you used AI to write your article if you then manually changed some things and add some others.
If your content is destined to people and you made sure that it could be helpful to them then you have nothing to worry.

According to Google, they will inform on their page when the update will start. Apparently, it has not started yet.
Not that I trust them though.

Yeah you can't really trust Google they wont even help you out on their help forums they just blame everyone when they ask a question about why their traffic is gone lol.

All my traffic has suffered over the past two years, ever since they put that Core WEb vitals penalty or ranking factor, but the weird thing is some sites fail core web vtials and still appear in google top stores and discover with spammy looking websites filled with multiple ads above the fold, I wonder how this AI chooses which sites to punish and to promote.
 
Lets wait for the funny movement of site after two weeks. But this update boost unique content. That's good to see.

Released the August 2022 helpful content update. The rollout could take up to two weeks to complete.
 
Disregard. Just realized it just started today. I had asked if anyone had seen any changes.
 
Is it possible if instead of going after the content google goes after the number of posts indexed? I mean you have people trying to index 100 posts each one of 2000 - 3000 words every hour, others 1000 - 2000 posts a day. How is that humanly possible?
 
Nothing unusual yet. Didn't notice any major changes. They didn't even officially annouce it like they do on Twitter. Is it delayed?
 
so many updates, more update = more pain, but its fine its just the best of us to do research
