Having multiple domains for a porn site - Question

Hello everyone,

I have a question.
I was "researching" online and I stumbled upon jerkmate.com, and I noticed that they have loads of domains that all end up redirecting users to their paywall on jerkmatelive.net

They own a bunch of NSFW domains and SFW ones (SFW for ad purposes I guess). Some of their domains are slightly different than others, some are identical. For example: jerkmate.com and jerkmate.net are identical, but jerkmatelive.net and jerkmatelive.com are also identical, but different than jerkmate.com and jerkmate.net. My questions here is, why would jerkmate end up having so many domains. What is the purpose of this? What can they gain (or already gained) from having many domains?

Does anyone have any idea why they would have many NSFW domains, as I understand the SFW ones are for ad purposes.

If they have DMCA takedown problems on google that might be a reason, another reason having diffirent seo title and description on each domain to rank for more keywords, there are many other reasons but those 2 are the most probable ones.

Also for sales lead tracking, putting different domains into various media helps sort out this. Trademark protection as well, some large corp's have hundreds of domains like Disney, MS, etc.

jerkmatelive.net and jerkmatelive.com are basically branded webcam websites. Nothing strange here.
