180k account suspended

Hi,

I made some posts a couple of years ago after losing a 400k account trying to get some answers in regards to what happened to my account. I got logged out without explanation and the account basically got deleted off instagram without warning. That was confusing but I moved on. Today another account of mine, this one with 180k followers, just today got suspended in the traditional way. I got a message explaining the account was suspended and that I have 30 days to appeal and if I don't the account will be permanently deleted. The phone number linked with the 180k account is lost forever (a lot of accounts and # numbers) so I have no hopes of claiming this account back. I'm just trying to understand what exactly happened.

My engagement on Instagram had been very bad for a really long time now, ever since my 400k got removed I have never been able to get to explore, hashtags were not raking in the amount of views and impressions they used to, posts were only being shown to my followers etc. I tried a lot of things to try and lift this shadowban but I have had no success. I basically gave up until a couple of weeks ago. I've been active again and trying stuff to try and lift this shadowban, such as using someone else's device to login and post, switching to a personal account, using a VPN etc. Yesterday I tried the VPN method, hoping today I would see some results, but instead after waking up and logging in I was suspended. This to me seems like a clear correlation, however I just need to be sure so that's why I'm asking you guys here. Are third party apps such as VPNs not allowed when using Instagram? Or what is happening here?

I also tried to just make a legit new account and that got suspended after 10 minutes. It seems to me that my IP has been flagged, my accounts have been flagged, my device(s) have been flagged, and no matter what I do I will forever be shadowbanned on what remaining accounts I have left and I will always be in danger of losing any big account at any time. Not sure what to do next but I think I'm done with Instagram for the foreseeable fiuture. It's been a fun ride, made some decent money but I think it's time I move on.

seems like the VPN caused all the issues...
Not the first time I hear about an IG account that got deleted cuz of using a VPN.
IG algorithm became a real nightmare recently, I'm not sure if it's worth it anymore.

To be honest Instagram become a shit social media.
Today it's so hard to grow Instagram account, it's almost impossible. On top of that, they ban accounts as thy like.
Seems like instagram become platform for celebrities to flash their lifestyle, and us "sheep" to follow their shit posts.

Just ask your internet provider to give you a new ip address for your router and start a new without logging into any accounts that you had on your previous ip not even your personal one

It's all about revenue. They wouldn't allow people like us to make money off Instagram. Unless you're a verified credible community member, there is always a risk of getting suspended for no reason. Got to milk the platform for many years though. Those years were nice.

Just ask your internet provider to give you a new ip address for your router and start a new without logging into any accounts that you had on your previous ip not even your personal one

Yeah your IP might be flagged. IG is really a pain when it comes to location changes etc. Were you on 4G or Wifi by the way?

Wifi. Using a VPN and also being connected to the home Wifi seems a bit stupid now I think about it haha

If your router allows it, restarting can change your IP with some of them. Otherwise yeah, you want to use 4G if possible after you avail. I don't know exactly why but seemed to work better with IG. There is really no logic sometimes though. What was the location of the VPN? like opposite side of the world from your normal location?

The VPN was connected to France. I did use a third party app called Regrann, but I downloaded that about a week ago and I also used this same app for quite some time a couple of years ago without any issues. Instagram is just so tiresome these days

If location is just too far, it might trigger things. Then maybe if was safe years ago, but now they could flag that app, here you have your potential issue. Since I stopped using anything non official, I don't have these kind of issues.

180k followers aren't easy to achieve on IG these days, that must be frustrating I'm sorry to hear this, your problem must be the VPN it's always recommended to go for 4G proxies with sensitive platforms, I got a friend who had his 3 bank accounts suspended because of using a VPN mistakenly.

It's similar for every other popular social network. Not your property, after all you don't have any control over it... Was losing a perfectly legit YT channel without warnings or explanations.

Its real simple they have enough content everywhere they don't need more content. So when you try to make money without paying them(buying ads) they will curb stomp you once they see what you're doing and its only a matter of time.

The only strategy that will work forever is paying the businesses for their services. That is what I would suggest.

I think to avoid this you should buy a new phone or computer or buy residential unique proxies and always login using them a

Hahah yeah, it's quite a bit, and the amount of hours that I spent growing the accounts... Oh well, it sucks but life goes on
