How long does it take for a new channel to get recommended on youtube? or to get organic views from browsing features

It took me about 1,5 month and 32 videos. Make descriptions and title and hashtags, similar to videos you want be suggested for.

New channels get a boost from YouTube. Once the channel gets old, it is pushed less by youtube.

Less than a month, a conclusion from something interesting which happened to me.

Couple years ago, I saw a video being pushed into my Youtube Home feed. I was baffled. Here is the situation:
- The video views count only tens like 30 something.
- The channel subs also only tens.
- The channel age and upload date was new (a month or so)
- Total video below 10, forgot how many exactly.
- It was the first time I saw a video from this channel.
- It was not a niche of videos I recently watched at that time.

From those facts above, we can eliminate some of main factors of Youtube Impression ranking like: cowatch, watch history, etc. How the hell do Youtube think that the video is something I might want to watch?

I tried to analyze to find out why, but failed to get something out of it. No SEO. Script, video, title and thumbnail suck.

Possible explanation is it was a glitch or what the so called new channel 'privilege' of being promoted (which my channels never experience or I missed it what it happened).

Youtube confirms that each video are treated INDIVIDUALLY. But, since the ranking deciding factors like cowatch, watch history, etc the algorithm still 'contaminated' with BIAS, hence the algorithm still favor big channels overly massively (Big channels means vast existing cowatch, watch history, etc). It is UNFAIR to new channels who just started with no any ranking factors.

I submitted feedback to Youtube about this several years ago. If more people complained about this massive unfair algorithm BIAS, maybe Youtube will add a little portion to the new channel fair chance to get exposure.

Let's go boys.

YouTube starts analyzing your video right after you have uploaded it, your video must have some tags that defines the video category and also thumbnails, after analyzing it recommends the users based on their preferences and watch history, its how YouTube algorithms work for recommendations.

Hope it Helps!.

Need 1 week, your channel will take videos to get recommended. If you upload 1 video every day.

The channel should be aged and content will get picked one day. It can happen after 30 to 50 videos.

All temporary boosts aside for new channels, I would say as long as there's enough video on your channel that might get a chance to be recommended. I'm currently having 200+ videos on my Channel and some of the videos get into the Recommended sections all the time. So, don't aim for making a recommended video - aim for building up a volume of videos.

For me it took around 60 videos to get recommended by algo. In my case, Algo observes the initial performance of the video for 2-3 days (in some cases for 1 week) w.r.t. factors like CTR, Avg watch duration etc. Then it boosts the video to the larger audience. If the video is still able to perform well, you will get more views (from browse features itself) and you can sudden spike in views also. Contrary this, views will last only for 2-3 days.
My recommendation: Target for general topic than a specific one, you will have a better chance for getting recommended by YT algo.

I second that! From observations, the Like/Views count should also be above 10% and watchable time 30% or more but could be just a coincidence.
