Hey everybody,

started my previous journey in 2020, however, due to some unfortunate circumstances had to sell in 2021 after 9 months of operation. I put in about $2500 and ended up making a cool $23K from the sale + affiliate commissions. Relocated to my dream city (NYC) for a job at a company I had really wanted to work for. It's funny, Idk what was I chasing? I have no complaints, things are good but fuck having a 9 to 5. There is no point in slaving away for someone else.

I'm now working on my dream project. It is a niche that I am extremely passionate about. I acquired the domain from its previous owner in September 2021 and paid him a bit extra for copyrights to the previous content, all of which is extremely well written by people who are very well known in the niche. The metrics are DR40, 800 RD, killer domain. Restored the site last year (a little over 150 articles) but didn't start doing shit until May 2022.

Since then I have recruited about 10 writers from all over the world. They're people who work in the niche and are happy to get paid writing about it. As a result, my content is extremely high quality, possibly the best in the niche. The idea last time was to build an "affiliate site", while it is (in theory) what I am doing right now as well but my approach is to build a business. I have a budget of about $30K, most of which I am going to spend on content.

I have three different types of content on the site (2 info sections and one section with buying guides). About 20% of my keywords are on the first page at the moment, those are the articles that I added earlier on. The new ones are also climbing up, I am extremely happy with the results. Traffic is just north of 60 users per day with about 70 fresh articles, most of which I have added quite recently.

It took me a bit to train the writers. I am editing all the content myself and it is a shit ton of work, but the money is in the grind. I've done all of the keyword research upfront. Content is where my strength lies. I don't believe in all the AI shit, I want to do it right and do it big this time.

The next step is to add affiliate links (I have been lazy about that) and recruit a couple more writers. I've assigned each writer to a sub category based on their expertise. Some are people I know from real life and others I have found through LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

The goal for the end of the year is to have 120 buying guides and 200 info articles, and by the end of 2023 is to have 300 buying guides and 700 info articles.

I will build links later on, but only when the site breaks even. Based on what I have seen with other sites, I would need about 6 - 8 months to get there.

So let's kick it and see where this goes.

Besides LinkedIn Sales Navigator, where else did you find more writers?

Thanks

It has been a while since the last one!
Where do you intend to buy links?
I will do HARO and some Outreach. If I had to buy I would go to no other than @MisterF.
Yeah totally agree and I'm sure he'll crush this one too.
Thanks my man!

I really am! it's not just my niche though, I love building blogs, SEO and the whole thing. I only do things I like, it's impossible for me to work on something otherwise.
Good luck mate!

Thanks man, failure is no option :)
@DeadJoe
How's the old site doing? Do you regret selling it?

Goodluck on this new journey.
It is a 7 figure site now. Of course, I regret selling it, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do :)

wow dude, you are inspiring! All the best
Can't wait to check your progress

How much do you pay per word? How do you give instructions to the writers? Do you follow a specific content outline?
