Hi folks, what has been your biggest crypto loss so far? and how much did you lose?

Personally, I've lost $10k shorting bitcoin at the bottom of 2018 lol.

I lost around $4k from shorting but I am not out of the game yet… stacking my portfolio during this bear market is my strategy and staying the hell away from futures.

But yeah my overall portfolio right now is down by a lot, just holding and buy more I guess

Actual: Couple grand with doge and shib. But overall crypto has been profitable as I was mining before the pandemic and just sold off my rigs earlier this year before GPU prices tanked.

Potential: Billions. I learned about Bitcoin before that guy bought a Pizza but naturally I thought “what the hell do I want with a hundred thousand internet tokens?” Could have mined that on a laptop in like a few days but what’s the point? … ah yes, well, if I had mined and held, I’d be a billionaire.

I take comfort in knowing there’s no way in hell I’d have held. I would have cashed out when I had enough to buy a home. And sometimes better to never have than it is to have and then lost. There’s also a fair chance I wouldn’t have even backed up the wallet.

Yeah I also have been around with IM and Bitcoin in particular for as long as it has been around and I never actually take it too seriously, never expected for the prices could go seriously high like this, back then when I used to just accepts 10+ of Bitcoin payments from clients and never actually plan to hold onto them for long. But yeah, looking back, I would probably just gonna do the same thing.
