Joint Ventures only for Jr Vips

I don't see the sense in it. JVs are open even to newbies who joined the forum yesterday. This is strange, they can easily say that they have many assets, 343489743893 stealth accounts and won't be verified by anyone to see if it is true.

Of course, most will tell me: diligence and common sense should be adopted to avoid falling victim to scams, but JV should be open only to Jr Vips and verified members.

All I can say about this is it’s your responsibility to research who you’re doing business with. Not the mods/admins or the forum owner. It’s your responsibility to do your own due diligence.

The staff can’t hold members hands to make business deals. Also, you’ve gotta give the normal (yellow color) members some privileges. Putting everything behind JR VIP permissions takes away from what Jr VIP is for.

Just my 2 cents.

Plenty of legit guys who don't get Jr VIP simply because they don't visit the forum enough, or they just don't care for it.

You think a $100/yr membership is some sort of credibility for going into business with someone?

Once in a while I have a look in the shitlist subforum just to see what is going on and I do not recall more than a handful of JVs gone bad in that subforum and I've been pretty active in there since 2016.

Maybe there should be some time or post count restrictions but seeing the lack of issues front and center in the SL subforum I'm not sure this is a solution to something as to deals going bad.

I'll leave this open so others can share their thoughts for the next 36 hours and at that point close it as I'll get a definitive direction in a staff meeting.

Either way, thanks for the suggestion, @Iuzzu, I appreciate, and I speak for the staff, your willingness to offer ideas to make the forum better.

Not precisely, our JV's have a bunch of requirements on them, including but not limited to:
The requirements for this section can be found below.

• Post/Message Count: 50 minimum
• Account Age: 30 Days minimum

So you need to have some substance behind your JV thread so people can see what sort of a member you are and if they want to work with you. Spamming your way there just won't work for your JV if all you post about is fish and you want to build links for people.

If you're coming at it from the other angle then yes the onus is on you when posting the JV to make it clear the type of person you're looking for and vet them yourselves to your required standards.
