Hello,

Website: coffeeloc.com

When I look at the Google search console, 800 pages seem to be indexed, but when I look with "site:coffeeloc", only 4 pages are indexed.

This problem has not left me since I bought the domain. It's been 6 months and it still hasn't improved. I am using cloudflare. Could it be its influence? Or is there a ban or penalty on this domain?

Getting ranked is different than getting indexed obviously. I think your site and its pages got indexed. You're just nowhere near the 1st page of SERPs.

My recommendations:
Do better on-page SEO (if not done already)
Silo-structure your site.
Get quality backlinks.

35 pages here, as well...

Your site looks very nice... and it loads fast which is good for SEO. You do seem to have a few broken links (I mean, images that don't load) and this is bad if you're trying to rank the site.

But anyway, the point is that the site has no major penalty / ban. And the fact that most of your pages are not indexed could be attributed to one, or more of these things:

- thin content (google doesn't like thin content anymore)
- orphaned pages (pages that don't get links and traffic have no reasons to be in google's index)
- (unlikely, but still possible) keyword stuffing.... giving how little content each page has, adding all those nearly identical tags on each page might flag your pages as keyword-stuffed and google hates this technique. Besides, tags are not as important for SEO as they used to be, so you can remove them

Then let me tell you about the logic of the site. I think that way we can see the problem more clearly.

First of all, there are actually 2500 venues on the site. So 2500 pages need to be indexed.

The purpose of the site is to list 3rd wave coffee shops. Like Yelp, but special for coffee shops.

I'm scraping coffeeshops on google maps. I take all the information and pictures about the place from google. I don't keep it on my own server. I create the tags within the page in the same way in a certain structure.

I have a similar site in another country. I added all the places one by one manually, but only half of all the places on that site appear on google.

Thank you very much for all your answers. where do you think is the problem? :)

@tazarbm What do you think I need to improve on the site by looking at what I have said above?

As you mentioned, cloudfare might be the problem as well. Some ppl here in BHW had discussion on that subject and a few said cloudfare was the one causing problems.

im pretty sure its due the content quality, since i've also have the same issue

Am I the winner?

Can you show us a screenshot of your coverage tab in Google Search Console? Like this: And maybe the excluded tab...

I uninstalled cloudflare. I'll wait a week and check again.

so, it's an aggregator site? I don't think it will index easily then, as google doesn't like these sites. I still think you should remove those tags as they solve no purpose to anyone (google or the users) in that format, but beyond this I've no idea what to tell you, honestly

I can see 853 pages on Google and 66 in Bing. Why are you saying it's not indexed?
