I have 6 wordpress Websites on this pc yesterday found a trojan and now one of my sites's wordpress password has been changed

i am installing kaspersky right now to scan

i just checked i still have acces to the domain cpanel of the domain - idon't want to enter to other websites so the password does not appear

1) Remove the virus from your computer.
2) Install a backup of your website with old password.
3) Change the old password
4) Change all other password from other sites/logins you have.

Just ignore the laptop for now, find another safe device to log on from and change everything related to your online accounts. you have time to fight a virus after your logins are safe. Of course, don't log into those accounts from the laptop until you know you are safe

Like SunnyLeon said, you should login from different device first to secure the logins. After that you can worry about Kaspersky license

Lol, you have that copy and pasted from your "Uh oh" Emergencies file! :)

Temporarily change your password via cpanel->phpadmin on your sites, just so no further damage can be done too. You might only have this option if you have no backups.

please guys if anyone has kaspersky license valid it will be very helpfull

In case of emergencies and if your WP Password was changed and if you still have access to cPanel/Database, you can add a new admin username via phpmyadmin:

Use MalwareBytes instead, free version will do just fine. After that put your computer into safe mode and scan there without network

So let's clarify, how did you know that you are infected? Because the Wordpress password has been changed? Probably it has nothing to do with your desktop, but the Wordpress website itself, plugins, etc.

yesterday windows defender notified me of a trojan - i deleted it and today the password is changed for the first time in a year

UPDATE : I have now accesed the website and i am contacting the hosting tech support to secure the website totally

the file that steals your data most likely will not be detected by the antivirus, they know how to deceive the antiviruses
What do you suggest then ?
