Tax residency and citizenship are not necessarily related. Unless you are an American (RIP lol). Tbh, you probably don't want to live in Romania anyways, might as well go to Dubai instead.

Dubai just announced this year it would impose a 9% corporate tax starting in 2023.
Dubai is hot.

Definitely pay your taxes. Definitely reduce them as much as legally possible.
There's ways you can legally do that depending on your country, or how you structure your income.
Learn it individually or hire a CPA to help you out. It's well worth the money

If you was to start earning more, id research setting up a shell company in a tax haven such as the Cayman islands. I would check, but pretty sure this is legal in most places.

Keep getting your payment via payoneer or wise. send your money to a cryptocurrency exchange (my suggestion is kraken) and keep it in dollar stable coins like usdt usdc. When you need money, sell some of your usdt or usdc on p2p part in the exchanges and withdraw the account in Turkish lira. Since the money will come directly from a person, not from any company, and the amount will be small, you will not be stuck in the taxation limit.

Hello, I'm a music producer from Turkey. My income has increased in the last 5-6 months,
I currently earn close to 1800 dollars per month on average.
But the problem is that already distrokid is making deductions and I don't want to pay taxes to this country I hate.
Currently, my money naturally comes to Turkey from America. I'm withdrawing my money,
I haven't received a tax related penalty for now, and I haven't made a statement that I have to pay tax.
but I can foresee that it might be a problem for me one day, I was using Wise while getting payment,
but I learned that it was also audited. what are your recommendations? What would you do if you were me?

All companies working on money transfer in Turkey have to submit a periodic report to an institution called bddk. This report also includes user data. For example, paypal does not work in Turkey because it does not accept this.

When I first started making more than $1,000 per month online, first thing I thought was how NOT to pay taxes.

Then I realized if everyone would be doing the same, there wouldn't be any more illuminated streets, highways, hospitals, schools, parks, you know, stuff that keeps a city.

Even if it's Turkey, there are things you take for granted every day that come out of the taxpayers pocket.

Every country has corruption.

In the US, taxpayers pay $200 PER DAY per federal inmate just because they crossed the border. They give them 12 months of sentence MINIMUM.

That's to show how idiotic some countries are. However, taxes pay for the good stuff too.

Just pay your fair share or go live in the woods.

or bulgaria it's right next door and it's 10% but there's obviously ways to decrease that significantly especially if we're talking about $1800 per month
