How’s your weekend?

Woke up to a non working central AC unit and it will be about 32 Celcius today.

I predict 4 or 5 cold showers and, if the AC guy can't fix it today, a hotel bill from a place that is pet friendly.

But I'm killing it with productivity so until I bake like a pizza in a wood fired oven I'm going to keep pounding.

Your wife is okay with a sudden move to a hotel room? Even temporarily? I’d imagine you’d have to make it up to her somehow even though it’s the AC guy’s fault.

We have a pet-friendly hotel we go to when the hurricanes come through... this is a different kind of weather event but falls under the pet-friendly hotel umbrella.

Plus I'm soft and need the creature comfort of a cool environment.
 
It's been great so far.

I resumed a new job on Wednesday and the other staff I took over from had a lot of work undone, so spending all day trying to get them done.

Also spending a good time here on BHW, especially on the journey threads.
 
Still haven't contacted my first good client. But I feel it coming.

So it was another no real prospect weekend but I'm closer to breaking that barrier with each day.

Finally I'll be able to enjoy my work everyday due to good payments.

My dream is to work 32 days a month like people in the US.

Here in Europe people slack off and never raise their rates. Why?

Apparently 10 month work year and 20 hour work week are not working well for serious businessmen.

So every weekend till I start working with English speaking people, I will have to deal with anti-work European culture.

God, what I've gotten myself into!

I used to suffer from this syndrome when I was 14.

Today I don't even care. I'm so cold these days. And I have to cause what will I do when I wake up next to $2k per day?

I can't get excited over numbers cause it's going to cause problems.

Fortunately, 10 years of being here taught me this lesson.

Don’t get me wrong. Numbers are great as @macdonjo3 would say. My comment was very specific to EPCs.
