Lost 50% of google traffic last night

Yesterday was a big rankings drop, most keywords went out of top 100, this should be temporary blip hopefully. After more ranking tools update should see more responses

same here! Literally wiped out overnight for one of my sites. This started around 12 hours ago.

I saw 30% drop in my traffic since 25, but yesterday I saw 10% boost. I have seen G is randomly testing other websites and shuffling the results based on User’s behaviour.
I reduced the number of ads on my site to improve User Experience. I would suggest everyone to do so. After the update you can increase the number of ads.
I think yesterday was a boost for most sites probably because it was after the Memorial day. I don't think ads have anything to do with it. We've always had ads, and unless you have something terrible that totally distracts user experience, it's probably not the cause of all this.

Looking at this rationally, why would Google boost your traffic only a day (or a few days) after you removed some of your ads? Doesn't it seem strange? Google doesn't work like that. User experience takes time to improve and for Google to test, they don't just give you 10% more traffic simply because you removed a few ads. If I'm wrong someone can correct me.

Since I use Ezoic, I know that it matters. Can’t say about Adsense because I haven’t used it.

‘Logic’ is crying somewhere in the corner, after reading this.
Perhaps it was wrong of me to assume most of us here target the US, but it's still a much better assumption than this:

I would never advise this to anyone, it's just not how Google works.

Glad to hear that we have someone on BHW who can reply on behalf of Google.
You know pretty well about how google works. That’s great! BHW want more people like you. You deserve Nobel Prize!

I had been hit badly , my about 10 keywords rankings just shattered !

Could it be because of the new google algorithms?

Children aged 5 know those things.

You should wait and it will be okay.

800 articles in 9 months. How the fuck would you exercise quality control when publishing that many articles in such a short amount of time? Do you even care about addressing the search query? So far everyone I've seen complaining about losing rankings is either using AI generated garbage or they start their posts like: "me site lost pozitionz, what i wrong?" - if your content is garbage and your standard is limited to article length + total number of articles, then you deserve to lose rankings.

Hey all,

I have a theory based on my site and other sites in my niche that dropped, that I would like to confirm with you guys. For everyone whose site has dropped, were you:

1. Using keywords from People Also Ask (PAA) in your content?
2. How many PAA keywords do you use for a 1000 word article?
3. Does your final article have too many questions in headings (H2/H3/H4)
4. If you look at your final article, does it look like a FAQ-style article?

My theory is that to combat the rise of PAA and/or AI generated sites, the algo now has some sort of a threshold for the number of PAA keywords you can have, and whoever is hit is somehow exceeding this threshold.

Of course, these are completely unsubstantiated claims, but it would be great if we can rule this out.
I see the opposite, PAA sites have jumped in traffic, at least for now.

Hey guys, little update.

I do nothing at all with website, i just let it live because it had some traffic.

For my surprise, some position got back again. Anyone with same story?

I had no idea what was that, or what is happening.

I am posting one article per day ever since this issue happened and I am at 70-80% of the traffic I had. Funny thing is, that my traffic is growing a lot, but from other search engones mainly.

But my graph looks quite different than yours, sinxe the drop I am on slow climb up. I didn't had any spike like you have

you are lucky you must have a lot of high qaulity BACKlinks to get good traffic with only one article a day.

One article a day can be a lot if you're the writer. It all depends on keyword research and the quality of the articles.

It can be one of the reasons. Search Google if there was an update announced at the time when website got affected.
