Hi everyone,

I am curious, have you guys had any experience with changing the name of a functioning Google Ads account? Does the ads account have to be a certain age before this is possible without suspension?

Being able to input legitimate information *after* creating a functioning account would be beneficial if google requests an identification proof, right?

never had a situation to change google ads account name

Well, essentially I set up an account with an "alias" name to avoid Google Ads suspension, but over time I would like to use my real name because of filing expenses/receipts correctly, since I am trying to run a legit WH business.
And also to avoid problems if Google ever requests an identification proof for my account.

Seems like a very specific case. Your best bet is trying it yourself. As per identification, they definitey will ask you sooner or later. Why not set up a new account with your name? Or 5 or 10? It’s not like it plays any sort of role. Unless you are asking about business name where you want to also put your VAT number, that’s a different story then and I see where is the problem.

I changed the name of my AdWords account recently because of their new verification. Everything was fine. This account was 5 years old with more than 400 k spent so it was a strong account but anyway I don't think it's dangerous to change the name of your AdWords account.

No one really care. As long as you dont try go get them in trouble with your ads, they are really easy to work with..
