PBN or backlink from article?

Hi, I have a question. Is backlink from pbn is better than backlink from website with high DR and search traffic? I mean write pretty good article and buy place with backlink to my website. It's cheaper and faster. What do you think about that?

1 link means nothing, no matter if it's PBN, guest post, or link from google themselves.... If you can afford paying for just 1 link you'd better save your money, or invest it in content. At least with a good piece of content you have a chance of ranking for long tails and getting some traffic

If you do have budget for a proper backlinking campaign then both PBNs and guest posts (I assume that guest posts are what you're referring to by "backlink from website with high DR and search traffic") are good as long as... well... they're good (quality sites with low OBLs, varied anchors, etc...)

Both things work. PBN just means that you have full control on the domain and it's content.

I buy 1-3 guest posts for ~100-300$ a month. I consider making PBN, but after calculating time and money for domain and hosting, I figure out that guest posts are cheaper and faster to get a content backlink.

Would go for guest post instead due to pbn do not have organic traffic. Actually both pbn and guest post is good but if the pbn and guest post is same DA etc, then u have to look into their traffic. When the guest post or pbn traffic is high, it contributes a lot into the backlink juice.

Search around the forum, you will find some good quality PBN sellers. Mix PBNs with guest posts + good website content and you should be good.

How do you know your guest posts will stay online?

If you've got a limited budget and the keyword difficulty is low and the article that you want to boost is high quality, my recommendation is to go for a niche edit.

That way you'll be able to (hopefully) rank the site well, bring in money from the ranking and then reinvest that money into more links.

Plus I don't think there's any PBN vendors that only offer one link.

If all else fails, build some high quality parasites and hit those parasites with some GSA blasts and you'll get a nice boost in traffic

If you are opting for PBN then you should make sure that the PBN has a good reputation. There are quite a few good PBN providers here in BHW.
As far as guest posts backlinks are concerned they are good too, but you will have to hunt each single quality site for that one link. Whereas in PBN you get links in bulk.

Some PBNs do not reveal their inventory so it is difficult to identify the quality of sites they are giving you link from. Whereas in case of a Guest posting, you can always check the quality of the site.

To answer your question, it really depends upon what your approach is and how do you plan to go ahead with your backlink strategy.
