PBN or backlink from article?

There is a greater chance that PBN links can increase organic rankings but guests posts are considered a more reliable and long term method, As well as a PBN link's power and immediate impact on SERPs.

When would you use a niche edit over a guest post or vice versa?
 
My opinion pbn gives you temporary rank. And if you have budget and time please go with niche related guest post from high quality sites. 1/2 high traffic guest post can boost your rank. Otherhand bulk of pbn do the same but stay of rank very shortly. Now ball is in your hand.

Why are PBNs give a short term boost? Is it because these networks get taken down or they swap out your links over time?

are most niche posts done on PBNs?

just trying to get an understanding. Ps appreciate you explaining things.
