Want to add email verification system in wordpress

Hey guys, I made a forum type website on wordpress by using discy theme. It already has an inbuild option to send a verification code to activate the user account but its not working maybe there is a bug in theme no idea about custom programming. I want to know how can I add a email verification or account verification system on my website whenever any user sign up on my site he will verify his email to sign up on there so I can prevent bots to sign up on my small website

Bummer. There seems to be a conflict between the theme and the plugins then. If none of the plugins work, since they're pretty different, the theme is to blame.
WP themes are in abundance, the chances are that there's something similar (without built-in verification feature), where these plugins work.
Probably you chose this theme, because it has a built-in verification. If that's not a requirement, the selection must be wider, so you may be able to find an even better theme, where you can use a plugin for the job.

If you're fixed on the present theme, try to contact the author or the place where you bought it and see, if they have a fix.

They are also unable to fix it. I used that theme because there are many features like points, badges, bio details, etc but I requested for refund now. Can you give me advice on how should I start a forum website on wordpress let me you if you have suggestion for me. It would be very helpful for me
