Hey guys,

I am thinking of switching my career to be a data scientist so is anyone here working as a data scientist or data analyst? I just want to know the challenges faced by the beginner in this industry and what are the disadvantages of this as online everyone talks about the salary, future but i want to know the reality of this job.

Thank you

Me 2 , i am very interested in this topic , i was a programmer for 3 years now and i would like to switch my career to a data analyst , specifically in B2B data science and sports

Speaking on the Data Analyst side only.
Get ready to be shitted on all your Job achievements, highlights and anything that can give you motivation or bring your self-esteem down. (then again, maybe this is only cuz I'm in huge companies and smaller scale ones are totally different)
You need a really solid Supervisor to keep that motivation and the "team" if you have one together.
You will be one of the pillars who holds one of the biggest responsibilities on growth of the project and potential success, yet you won't be thank for it ever usually.
Salary wise, unless you love your job that much, I feel like it is much lower than other heads of the industry.
