Hey guys, I'm trying to rank a dentist website and built about 15 high authority links to it. About two weeks passed and I have not seen an increase in rankings. Google has indexed them.

Do I need lots of pillow links to make it pass a certain treshold after which it will rank? Do I need diversity backlinks (medium and bunch of others), web 2.0's and directory listings to get them ranked?

I never really understood the appeal of the diveristy-web 2.0-directory listing backlinks aside from the treshold argument that I just made. What would you guys suggest?

btw the high authority links are all about 50+ authority, just letting you know

Did you do onpage seo?
yes I did

2 weeks and you want to see movement is a little ambitious in a niche that is quite competitive.
I don't have much time left to fail, I just want to know if simply placing high authority backlinks will do the trick or do I need directory listings, web 2.0's and diversity links, and if so why I need them (is it due to the treshold I mentioned etc.). I'm doing it for dental patients visiting Greece and the english queries aren't too competitive. Since I haven't had a successful SEO campaign until now I want to know if these alone will make it rank.

I know that nothing is certain in SEO, but I'd at least like to hear some approximations on what should I do, what things do and what I should expect.

You absolutely should have a well rounded SEO backlink portfolio so hop on that.

Your trying to rush something that takes time.
No human will give you an accurate magic formula to speed this up, just keeping doing good consistent work and it will pay off.
While some things might help more then others, you still need a mix of everything from backlinks to social shout outs/mentions.

One of the biggest things you'll learn about SEO is that no entity is an expert and consistent work pays off.
Constant Good Quality Content and Diversity is key to ranking.

do you guys have a list of directory listings and usual diversity links so I can just go ahead and do that. I don't have time to do web 2.0 nor do I own GSA etc so I'll pass that.?

would you say that these are enough though? Would I be okay with high authority domain backlinks and directory listings and business directories or should I do social media etc etc etc?

THIS IS IMPORTANT

Now I know these are all going to be beneficial, but I'm working 2 jobs at this particular time and really need to know which are fundamental. Everyone knows social signals will boost rankings a little but what would be the bare minimum I need in order to get the ship going?

Like will my PBNs not even work if I don't have directory listings, will they not work if I don't do x or y. No one I know will tell you can't do without social media or blog comments, and that is exactly the kind of response I need right now. Are pbns and business directories / web directory listings enough or does google need more?

From what I gather google just needs to see you're doing things organically and the closer I get to it the better I'll be off with the pbns as google will start giving a shit about my website. will business directories and web directory listings USUALLY be enough on their own for this specific purpose

@tazarbm

what are your takes on it?

I'm planning on just going with web directory/business directory/diversity links

SEO isn't for you then, find another avenue. It takes time to rank (typically 6 months) and even then you'll see the low hanging fruit ranking before your bigger keywords, you have to collect the data and build further content and interlink it. Its a slow process, two weeks is nothing.

If you send me the url I can take a do a quick on-page audit for you.

My on page is off the charts compared to other websites. Thank you but I really don't think it's about the on page.

Do you happen to know the answer to this bro?

I would do a press release for pillow links or some decent forum links like crowdo rather web 2.0 and shitty profile links other than the main social media

I know just the place for you too! Stackoverflow is full of assholes like you who try to put beginners in their place which they never tried to venture out to begin with. I ran 3 unsuccessful SEO campaigns which killed about a year and a half for me and I want to get things straight before I start out my fourth. I invested lots of energy into the project I'm working on and SEO is a key piece to it, without it they will have been in vain. In fact I gave in so much time that I might be kicked out of college for my grades. As you may have understood, I'm in need of serious help and just not in a good place in my life of now, certainly not in one I'd like some guy who probably has the answer to my question trying to ridicule me cause he is an asshole and feels like doing so.
Take it easy. Pm your dentist site and your main 3 keywords.

Excuse me?

Don't worry he's just a little sensitive to common sense and logic. Let him carry on.

Common sense and logic being ridiculing someone in need of help

You asked a question and I answered it with logic, you're trying to rank within two weeks and being unrealistic, I was very polite in my OP and gave you solid feedback. If you can't handle being told realistic timescales and commom sense I suggest you logout.

Everyone relax, if you don't have anything constructive to say don't say it. I don't want to give out infractions but @metalfingersdoom just relax on calling other people names.

Everyone else, you either help the member or ignore him but don't troll him. Thanks for your cooperation.

No trolling on my end, nor did I call OP any names. I was literally handing out some honest realistic advice, and was then called an arsehole for my trouble. I assume the member has been warned.
