that's 700 * 0.04 SOL = 28 SOL = 1.6k bucks. That's not even discounting off the minting price & shit if you are launching off another platform.
they ain't even making half of it's cost, why would you even launch.
Don't even count on the secondary royalties, how "long" will it even take at the usual 5-10% rate to make up the other 2k to break even?

NFT Volume in sales is by far the largest on Ethereum. Solana has a lot of trash minted and wash traded due to lower transaction costs.



I have no idea why you chose Solana and 700 as the collection size. But here are the top Solana collections on OpenSea, and you can see that 2,200 is the smallest collection size. You can see that 5,000+ is the average collection size here.






Not a single collection on Solana OpenSea Top 50 has a collection size under 1,000 items. Ethereum also has 5,000-10,000 piece collections on average.

If you are going to bring 700 into the argument, why not just launch 1 piece with 10,000 editions available? This can be done in 5 minutes for $0.01.

a 100k collection and a 7k collection would cost virtually nothing more to generate, provided you had the correct number of varaitions assets possibilities?

The cheaper you go, the less likely you are to have something that will be valued by outsiders. The fact that you even bring in floor price is just super weird and bizarre, makes no sense at all.

OF COURSE your own costs will depend on how much you are willing to spend. You don't have to offer your personal assurance, that is OBVIOUSLY FACTUALLY TRUE. Of course, if I am only willing to spend $10, my final costs will not be $100,000, because I am only willing to spend $10. This isn't some great insight on your behalf.

I understood what they were asking, and I provided a useful answer to their question. You have just come in and tried to fight with me for no apparent reason. I have examined dozens of projects in depth, and been part of a few cryptocurrency projects over the last 12 months, and the number I have given is based on such.

Of course there will be many much higher, and many much lower. OP doesn't care about those. They are looking for a realistic figure based on what others are currently budgeting to launch an NFT project that has potential.

you can spend $2500 as an artist or coder
you can spend $5000 and get code and art done for you
you can buy $10k turnkey with minimal marketing.
Now that it is made...
marketing, sales and fulfillment of utility/liquidity/drops
consider creative commissions (both in sales effects/profit variability by % set)
and post sales fulfillment as well.
There are also pricing/reach considerations on mint coin base choice as well. (eth vs poly etc)
There is also "lazy minting" but it may inconvenience some buyers.

I was in web dev many years ago working with html,css,js, php. Mostly the skills have been used customizing WP themes for my websites XD. Now back updating skillset on web 3. I was tinkering with launching a trial collection on opensea and a minting website which was super easy and straight forward. Since I'm not an artist I'm thinking of launching a real project.

P.S thanks to all replies. For the negative energy about NFTs there are here to stay, whether people are stupid or not buying gifs it's not the point but the new dawn of the web unfolding in front of our eyes.

Good point. An authority wallet policy clearly spelled out (and followed) to satisfy the tax man and to separate yourself from such nonsense. If your contract falls under a security act it could be fraud

This MIGHT not be an extra price tag, but "doing your own homework" also comes at a cost.
