Looking for a good VPS for a mail server

I had a website on DigitalOcean. After some time (>1mo) I decided to install a mail server and encountered no problems. Ports were open.
They sometimes open port 25 for new accounts and also can open it per request for 2m+ old accounts but as soon as you get your first spam report they will block it and suspend your account. DO is not an option for bulk emails, especially scraped one.

Yes. This is the reason why I use mail server on DO for personal use only.

I tried that earlier this year - I have servers with them for 4 years, never any problem. Found port 25 closed. Contacted support, they told me they stopped providing 25 flat out due to spam.

Well, that's really strange. Usually, support unblocks 25 when requested.

i asked around on a sysadmin forum and they said it's really to be expected now that they won't.

Try this you will love that.
Vps-rdp.com
Thanks for the suggestion, but PowerMTA (and most others MTA's) are Linux-only. In addition, from a system administrator (me) point of view, Windows causes more problems than Linux. But it may be fine for an RDP server.

For Mailing you have Alexhost VPS, Alexhost vps port 25 is Open by default.

That is only what I can say, if you don't break their rules I think is fine

Spam is not allowed in MOST OF HOSTINGS, you can do mailing but not abusing from it.
Some people thinks mailing is allowed then they do spam and get suspended, surprise!

Do with moderation! No one likes spam! And most of providers doesn't allow spammers in their network (and that's great)

Of course. Not only spamming is illegal, it is also less profitable than usual cold mailing.

From my exp alexhost had blacklisted ips.

Nop, Alexhost doesn't have blacklisted IPs, if you do something like Spam you can be listed there.
In such case and if you didn't nothing contact them and they will clean your IPs.

Thank you very much!

Then Alexhost VPS will suit good for you, because they have port 25 open in their vps.

I think you need to use pre-sales conversation in the way it was created for. Make sure you will do what web hosting provider alow you, ask any question even if they are silly questions.
That should work with any provider: specify all details ->make sure ->sign up.
Good luck!

I am sorry, you are right. That was some other provider.

I had 2 dedi servers with alexhost and both were clean :)

You don't need to say sorry. Heheehe everything is fine. But sometimes can happen IPs get blacklisted because someone did dirty things.
Everything is ok.

how many mails are you planning to send per hour / day and what is the source of email list ?

List is bought and validated. Initially I plan to send around 30/day and then gradually increase to 14k/day (~580/hour) after warmup.

I am unable to calculate ROI as I am only starting. My budget for VPS per month is $10 dollars.
Well, at least I want to find a host that allows legit mass mailing.
The budget is too small for a Vps hosting plan that allows mass mailing.

Being looking for a decent hosting provider with poer 25 enabled. Hope to get good list from here
