I'm in a niche right now that I enjoy and I'm working on my site trying to grow a brand, but a new competitor has recently joined and is pumping out ai content. He has a few hundred pages of terrible and obvious ai generated content. Its all fluffer content with a ton of grammatical errors, but he's already starting to rank and he's ranking for keywords that I was planning to rank for maybe 4-6 months from now. What can I do to stop him besides getting more links myself?

Create better content targeting the same keywords. Over time google will realize which one is better and human-written.

Google does a lot of testing. If your content is better and people stay on your page longer then they do on the AI generated one - you win.
Google wants to get the most pleasing result to the end user.

You will beat him with bounce rate, user retention, etc.

Don't even worry about it for now. Grow your website as nobody else exists.

It sounds silly, but it will work.

You can easily beat him.. You may also use the AI content but make sure to fix the grammar and factual errors. Make a good structure. Add some more relevant images and videos if possible.

Report them if you want. While make yours better for long term!

Long term is always the key to play this game, bro.

Learn how to execute AI and spintax content generation, it's not going away and you will only come across more competitors using it in the future.

Just learn how to do it properly, boot up a dummy site and start testing!

Just make your site/content better than his.

- Improve the readability of your content.
- Ensure on-page SEO is pristine.
- create quality/foundational backlinks for tier 1.
- Run your website through a speed checker and attempt to make your site load as fast as possible.
- Ensure that your website has a good, functional mobile design as well.

You could always create AI content as well but edit it a bit to increase readability / grammar and reduce bounce rate.

You no need to stop him, google will stop him once they discover the content is not user intent. So just concentrate on your site, and upload informative content regularly this will help in the long run.

Those types of sites will not sustain for long days.
