I've been watching a lot of travel vloggers lately who have gone to India and Pakistan and going to the street markets and such.
It's really enjoyable. I love the people who are so friendly and open to talk. India and Pakistan just seem like such friendly people.
I wanted to ask why is it that everything is so cheap in price there? When I see the fresh fruit juice stands and they take like 6 oranges
to make 1 pint/mug full of fresh orange juice and it only costs like 40 cents USD, I always wonder how the heck is it so cheap??? I know
the currency and standard of living is different but still, oranges, pomegranates aren't cheap are they?? Where I live, I'd have to pay
mininmum $5 to $8 for a glass of fresh squeeze orange juice/pomegranate juice but in India or Pakistan it's like sooooooo cheap. I wish
I could drink it everyday for that price!!

India - The median salary is around Rs.16,000 ($209) which states that half the population is earning less than this amount and half are earning more than Rs.16,000

Pakistan - The median salary is 76,900 PKR ($411) per month

One of the first "Western" YouTuber's India travel videos that went viral are videos of YouTuber named "bald and bankrupt". Ever since then many YouTubers from the west have tried to replicate the same.
As far as cost of living is concerned, yes, India is still very cheap when compared to Europe, North America, etc.

Juice of six oranges or pomegranates would be 2 cups and if it is not mixed with anything else, it will cost you at least $1 in India.

I get 2 glasses of Orange juice for $1 from a street vendor and $1-2 from a reputed restaurant for a glass.

If Orange juices become $5 per glass here most of us will not be able to afford it.

Yea its that cheap here, if I get a unpure one I have to pay Like $1, if I want full pure juice (No sugar, no water, no ice, no salt just juice) it costs $1.25-$2

Local grown oranges and pomegranates costs around 1.5$ per kg. The imported ones costs 3-5$ depends on season. Most of the fresh juicer shops using local grown fruits, that's why they are cheap. Plus, suger water and ice are added to the juice to enhance the taste, so you literally get 3/4 of fresh juice + 1/4 suger water in a cup.

I used to live in a condominium complex that was built on an old grapefruit orchard.

A lot of the trees were still there so we were able to get free grapefruits and I even put together a PVC pipe with a knife on the end to cut down the ones we could not reach from the ground.

Boy, those were delicious.

For the members who are in India in parts where the summer is brimming, make this at home (can have it even 2 to 3 times a day) :-
Squeeze the juice out of 2 or 3 lemons, into a glass, add chilled water, add 2 teaspoons of jaljeera powder, if you wish add a spoon of sugar : mix it well with a spoon : relish the natural heat-buster drink. It is natural and delicious too. To get the best possible rich natural taste, use only "Jalani" brand of jaljeera.
Jeera (cumin) is a natural heat-buster and scientifically known to be good for the digestive system as well.

Congratz. You eating saliva of street vendor in street food.

And in the process, destroy your liver, kidney and your whole body.

I get a fruit juice containing oranges, pineapple etc for 50-60 cents(depending on the size of the glass)

But I prefer making at home as it's all clean and without sugar and stuff.
