I've just purchased an expired domain with .co extension. It has a DR of 28.

Now I'm wondering whether it will rank well globally or not?

Can someone shed some light on this?

Yes of course.

Absolutely.

You can rank nearly any TLD globally with the right brand representation, SEO, and dedication.

Why not?

I am a fan of .co domains. It is short and you can find better single word domains as well.

It is my 2nd alternative to .com extension. So dont worry about the .co or .com....

Thanks guys. Your replies has cleared my doubt.

One last question if you guys are familiar with my query just share your thoughts.

Will expired/aged domains content starts ranking immediately or does it need sometime?

I started publishing some content on my aged domain to test whether it's ranking instantly or not but my content is not ranking anywhere.

So, what should be my initial focus on the aged domains?

Within a couple of weeks you can see it appear in the SERPs. How long ago did you publish it?

Make sure the site looks good, has about, contact, terms, privacy pages, and is GDPR compliant. Get an XML sitemap set up and submitted to Google Search Console, and then get your first block of content ready, whether that be blog posts or LPs, and interlink where appropriate.

With that foundation set, you can be confident that the links you start building will not be wasted.

It can rank over globally , but need some hardwork over !

Yes , you can with solid link building and awesome content.

Of course it can. You can create content in several languages and it will rank within tons of different countries ;)

As there are many rankings factors, Immdeadietly ranking is not possible. Keep adding content, increase its standard. There will be an improvement in ranking.

To check how good was your expired domain authority, just post content with low to no competition keyword. If it ranks within a week without any external boost then yours is good.

A .co TLD is still better. I've ranked .info, .xyz and .to before. Go for it. It will all depend on your keyword and content strategy.
