Earning $100,000 From Freelance | Zero to Hero

Hi, great thread mate ! Hope you do well in this as you seem super fun and experienced to read.
What exactly did you do in this 200$ job? Could you give any recommendations to someone who wants to try out digital marketing ?
Appreciate you reading my guy! The job was a mix of web development and digital marketing; a fellow wanted his site fixed; some other dude had fucked it up basically (UI redesign + best practices document with advice and adjustment ideas + e-shop catalog adjustment). And it wasn't easy to fix, even for me that I'm in this for many, many years. I'd normally charge a thousand for this, did it for the sake of the challenge, and that dude's budget was set. I had no other pending work so, I mean, why not. Wasn't easy or fast, though.

If you wanna get started with digital marketing you gotta start by picking a subcategory, as a general rule of thumb I'd recommend any new pal to start with understanding how the big social media platforms work, one by one.

It's a really time-intensive process, though; deep understanding is built after a shitload of work. You'll usually not see results till way deep in, but if you're in for the grind, go for it.

If you're just looking for the big bucks fast, go through another route; video editing freelancing seems to be hot right now and pays well. You can be a good editor very fast.

Just a note on the programming side ever thought of learning Solidity for etherium to make smart contracts. People on fiverr charge loads of money for custom contracts plus a website. I see you making HUGE money if you master this

Read your journey the past couple of days, you should have placed a lottery ticket the same day as you listed that $200 gig! haha :D

All the best, I'm just about to get restarted on some freelancing myself, but won't be using Fiverr, will be using Upwork, freelancer, to hopefully get enough experience to register on toptal.

Alright, goodluck.
Thanks again, man!

Good luck for you
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for reading! Let's stay in touch, send me a message. We can both benefit from sharing freelancing ideas. Wish you the best of luck!

Hmm, I don't know how long that's gonna take. It's definitely something interesting, maybe not my cup of tea at the moment. Very cool idea, though! I'll check how hard the language is regardless. Thanks for your second message in the thread.

I probably won't take advice from someone who can't spell Ethereum

I sincerely hope you crack this journey wide open and over achieve your target
I decided to quit my 9 to 5 in December this year, as I am not enjoying the two hour daily commute to an office I have to return to after a two year stint of 'working from home'...
Now I want to get high ticket recurring clients - I start this week too!!!
Lets rock.

Best of luck ... you motivated me
Couldn't be more happy hearing people got motivated from this without it being completed yet. Thanks for reading so far!

Let's rock my guy! Thanks for reading.

Hey fellas, an update is coming tomorrow!

Earning $100,000 From Freelance | Zero to Hero

Hello ladies and gents! Was gone for a few days as I expected would need to happen, had some shit to deal with. I'm back since yesterday, so this would technically be day four, not day 12. Anyway, for the sake of real-time and this challenge, day 12 it is.

UPDATE

DAY 12

CURRENT EARNINGS: $210 (0.2%)

Nothing major happened since I didn't have the time to be able to book more gigs or adjust anything. I even missed a few messages, ouch. Just this morning I got a message from someone wanting a quick $15 job, so of course, I took it. It's not much time, and I need reviews, DESPERATELY. Will take me an hour,

I asked my previous buyer to submit a review so I can build some trust amongst new potential buyers, and so he did. Five stars, baby!

It is incredibly important to build social proof in the form of reviews. It's critical, I must say. I've messaged so many fucks on the Buyer requests category, nobody replied back when I had no reviews. The moment I got that review, I sent another 5, and 2 replied back! That's not luck. I didn't change my messaging technique or format, even though I had already finely tuned it. Reviews MATTER!

I also joined a few Facebook groups to exchange a few favorites, not sure if that's something of value (did I mention this in the previous post, do I have Alzheimer's?) but it's worth doing it to ensure that I get a small boost. Just like 10 or so likes per gig.

Also, got recommended to check out other platforms. I checked Upwork, and the UI is pissing me off. I don't know why, it's just me. Will give it another week before I check it out again and some other platforms as well. Fiverr just seems user-friendly and I got a semi-established presence already with that review and now another one coming, seems like I'm booking jobs just fine. I don't wanna get too busy from all this, this isn't my primary job. I'll jump to other platforms only if I make a better rate per time spent; right now I'm making about 20-25/h, which isn't bad at all for most countries. It's actually a fantastic wage. Yeah, you can make much more, but as a consistent job of 8h/d for instance, you'd LOVE to make this much from the comfort of your home/local cafe/while traveling. 20/25h is enough for someone to travel while working if living alone for most people (for me this would apply, in fact I'm thinking of making this challenge more spicy by traveling abroad and living out of the funds from freelancing).

Anyhow, back to the latest order and the changes I've made to the Fiverr profile. I keep ranting way too much. ADHD?

As mentioned previously, there's a new order for $15 from some individual, this one is not a custom offer but rather an instant gig purchase. I'm waiting on some details, but it should be a really fast job. Stoked about this, will definitely overdeliver to guarantee a positive review and possibly a recurring client that can give me more reviews and I can give him some good value. Building solid relationships is something I'm dying for while completing this challenge; that's my end goal anyways. I cannot reach my goal without strong relationships with my clients; then potential scaling and outsourcing might come in, but not in a way that would rip my clients off as many do with some crazy profit margins. That's borderline stealing.

Because my inbox-response rate and time was completely off, something I did to somewhat fix it is send out offers ridiculously good to be true on the Buyer Request section saying "message me before ordering" to get them to discuss it with me for me to simply say that I accidentally set a wrong budget. This boosted my stats, lol. Blackhat method be like.

Over the course of the upcoming week I am planning to send out a lot of Buyer Requests, max out my limit of 10 a day and adjust the shit out of my existing gigs (7, maxed it out as a "New Seller", I need another 3 slots after reaching level 1, but got to do a few more gigs for that)

More updates soon!

Send me your feedback in the replies below to boost the thread as well!
