Maybe he *is* trying to steal your niches (or perhaps I'm the only one who's guilty of that kind of think ;-)). On the other hand, perhaps he really is just being nice.

I've read plenty of articles on the effects of outgoing links on your own pages' SEO, and am pretty convinced that as long as the content isn't complete spam (pharma, etc.), and doesn't totally throw off your keyword density (which as long as people don't spam and post real comments, that shouldn't be an issue), it shouldn't matter to him if people comment on there.

No offense to the OP, but I have to remind people don't just trust some new person because they are 'nice'. Is it worth compromising your niche, just for a PR0 backlink that is all from the same domain(blogger.com) ?

-most of the blogs are blogspot.com blogs. And they are PR0. So those links won't count that much (sameIP, low PR).
-for all you know, he might have just made those blogs and only 'shared them' to BHW, in hopes of stealing some people's niches
