To reach your target pick up gigs that don't require you to work everytime an order comes in. If you work for every $5 order, you'll struggle to scale up.

Hello ladies and gents! This is the first update of this journey. Some really interesting things happened and I think it's a time for an early update. Normally I'd prefer to update you all when something major happens (which I initially estimated would be every 5 days or so), but oh well. Maybe I invested a little more time than I originally thought.

For the past 48 hours, I've watched a few videos from "Fiverr geeks" to further understand how to optimize everything. I don't want to make my gigs decent/good, they have to be PER-FECT. Wasting your time reading and my time executing isn't my goal. Just if I was Fiverr's best seller and I went on holidays as long as my dad was buying milk for me.Hello ladies and gents! My profile needs to be 100% complete while portraying reliability, professionalism, and trustworthiness to potential clients.
Gig thumbnails have to be perfect, gig titles have to be perfect, gig tags have to be perfect. Perfection everywhere. Wee.
Practices I am going to be following during the upcoming 2-3 days:
- If a gig's getting low impressions (I have 5 at the moment fully set up)- throw a new thumbnail in and try to improve everything else as well that's within the gig. Adjusting and polishing what doesn't get traffic (at least 100 impressions or so) from the FIRST day and consistently holding it. If I don't get an order for 2 weeks on a specific gig I throw that gig away or I revamp it once again with fresh graphics and more updates, potentially changing the pricing.
- Adding the maximum amount of gigs possible. I will add another two gigs, currently got five going on. I may scrap some gigs that aren't performing well at all statistically, we'll see soon.
- Exchanging Favorites. Joined a Facebook group (will join more groups to do shit fast), gonna start exchanging Favorites. Gonna use an alt account for that probably so I don't get flagged. For the people that don't know, Fiverr's favorites act as "Likes".
- Go for expensive gigs in not-so-popular niches. Yeah, it's gonna be rough, but how the fuck am I gonna make money if I charge 5 bucks for a thumbnail and it takes me 20-30 minutes to make one super well? For a good damn review, I'll waste so much time? Fuck that shit. High-ticket products, I'll do a good job, get my ass paid.
- Send out Buyer Requests and find "blackhat" methods to get more. The Buyer Request section on Fiverr is almost always dead for me; I check once every 3 hours now because there's nothing in there. Bruh. I'll diversify my gig niches, but that still won't be enough till I start climbing Seller Levels, and I'm too impatient to grind just for that. I'll just make a few thousand from Fiverr and if the flow's good I'll stay, otherwise I'll get my bags somewhere else to "immigrate".
- Do my research on buying reviews. I'm not sure if it works, I'll have to do some solid research there. Yikes. Don't wanna get my ass banned either.
- Get fucking godly impressions/CTR. This is pure thumbnail and title work; gotta master that shit. Will take a week or so, I'm confident I'll start getting good traffic very soon. I'm already getting about 1K total traffic a day, but that's not as good as I want (this is in impressions, but Fiverr impressions aren't just like social media ones, they're much juicier)
Now, to the part, everyone was waiting for...
Yes, I got a $200 order, on the second day on Fiverr. Sheesh.
This fellow wanted a lengthy job, he reached out first via DM. In all honesty, I didn't expect him to reply. I thought that he was simply doing some sort of market research (on what is the average price for the job he's looking for). I told him that I'll need $200 for the job of his custom gig, which was close to what I was initially offering on a gig, but essentially more advanced and more work-intensive. I simply gave him the rate I'd charge pretty much anyone, maybe a little cheaper than usual. I'd not say no to $200 for a few hours of work before sleep, while IN bed.
Boombadoom, done. He messages me in the morning and says this and that wasn't proper. I go over everything again, takes me an hour or so. No problem; found his reasoning relatively ridiculous and there was some sort of communication gap; however all good. I don't judge anyone that's paying me money unless it's $5 to reverse engineer Google in one hour and seven minutes.
I delivered the order again, he was happy and wanted me as a long-term freelancer to work with him.
I told him we'd need to jump in a call for that so I understand his needs better, I snagged his e-mail and contact info so I can reach out to him outside of Fiverr for something long-term; that'd be dope if I did that because it'd get me so much closer to my goal so much faster. Plus, I can use some of the funds I make from this fellow to sign up on some freelancing platforms with premium plans and shit like that to try to see if I can make something work as well there and start getting a client base that can pay me thousands for work that I'm already very experienced in.
Gotta secure this deal! Will try my fucking hardest to. It's very important to get a few grand from this individual to help me push this challenge faster and reinvest my funds quickly if applicable.
If I can get a few people to Stripe me a few thousand dollars for work that I know how to do well, we're fucking set. This might mean I might make 5K my first month with zero connections, just a dude with a laptop, that understands a job well, zero prior freelancing experience, and hustle-hunger. Worth noting I'm currently a little busy, I might not perform very well in the upcoming days/1-3 weeks because I will potentially be off for a while.
For anyone wondering, my gigs are in the digital marketing space. This is only because I specialize in that, not because I like offering expensive gigs. I offer gigs at a high price tag because of the intensity of the work and my ability to do it faster than other dudes that are newer to it; thus making it worth it. As I said prior, wasting so much time for $5-$10 doesn't make any sort of sense to me. In absolute beginners, yes; because you are pressured to do a good job and you learn more in the process IMO.

Thanks haha! Indeed it was, I've tried making money in the very past with other methods that took me months for the first big money, which was kind of annoying. The instant sale here really helped me not become desperate, lol.
Registering on Upwork today, from there I'll see if I can actually track down clients outside of any freelance platforms and do work for them as a freelancer. Thanks for your feedback!

I got strong web development skills but I don't utilize them for freelancing or any outside work (too time-intensive usually, and I just don't fuck with it long-term; if I get stale on gigs it might happen that I include some of these services for the sake of the challenge).
From there, everything I'm doing online is revolved around digital marketing. It involves minimal web design; mostly via Shopify (yes, one of my gigs is to improve Shopify stores, for instance, no sale on that yet)
Digital marketing work like advertising, store management, and brand coordination are the pathways I'll be following because they reflect my skillset the best. I believe that I am stronger on these than most in the workforce after actively studying and improving every day for hours in the past decade. Was skipping school to study for these sometimes back in the day, the irony. The work I've put in these is insane; the problem is I have to PROVE to my potential clients that I'm worth the money. That's the hard part with freelancing; proving that you're worth it more than some other fucks. For instance - in coding, I know I'm not as strong as in comparison to most active dudes in the space; so I'm just letting it go.
