Am I doing something wrong on Shorts?

Hello IM folks!

I am currently growing 2 shorts channels in the celebrity niche and viral-type tiktoks niche (satisfying stuff etc) but after almost 2 months, I am still growing slow (around 15k views each day and around 10 subs each day on both channels, sometimes even less)

After reading some Shorts related threads, I've come to the conclusion that most of the people there who started their journeys on YouTube Shorts have much better results, getting tons of subs and views each day in a short period of time. This makes me thing that I am doing something wrong, and I am not sure what

My strategy is to find good quality content and post them with catchy titles on my channels. I am also doing a little bit of SEO (even though it doesn't matter AT ALL on Shorts), and I am posting 5-7 times per day on both channels. Am I missing something?

Check your competitors and see how their videos are performing. Check their daily views, then compare it to yours before you conclude about your videos performance.

I think when youtube lanched shorts option the reach was higher than now also keep on mind that the ytb shorts channel born every second wich means more competition just try to double the number of the videos posted good luck

In a 60 second video, is the FIRST thing the customer sees your website?

Or a 3 second sales pitch - your website - then the video?

Or a freebee giveaway sales pitch for a PLR course for signing up for your website?

Or a cool t-shirt advertising your BRAND being worn by a beautiful girl asking them to
signup at your site. And the T-Shirt being available on your Spreadshirt store?

I titally agree with you, all that matters at the end is the Conversions Rate!

50% is luck. You just got to get lucky and hope the algorithm picks it up and shows it to 50 million people. Even if your videos suck, if you it shows it to 50 million people worldwide, you'll still get a few million views because ppl will click on it and watch it, then dislike it or whatever but doesn't matter, a view is a view and you'll get millions.

It also depends on what country you are posting from or choosing what country to show it to (in the beginning)...of course later on if it goes viral, it'll even out and be viewable in any country at equal exposure. I did Khaby Lame experiments where I posted his vids on youtube and tiktok and none of them went viral. But the videos from Khaby Lame channel itself are viral. So it proves that it's not about the content but it's about who is showing it/where it's being shown from...that source has to be promoted or put in the spotlight where millions are seeing it even if they didn't want to see it.

You are damn right! If we wouldn't have wanted that, then it wouldn't have been a business

Here's another interesting share. Recently I posted a video on my tiktok. Naturally I will get around 2k to 5k views just from my followers base. This particular video only had about 4k views for about 5 days and only 5 shares. Suddenly in the past 2 days it went viral and now has 200k views and I saw it only has 7 shares still lol. This means that SOMEONE who shared it must've had a massive platform or follower base that when they shared my video, that's what gave it 200k views in just 2 days. So again, it proves that what matters most is some sort of "luck" where somebody just might happen to share your video who happens to have a large following themselves and that one random person who shared your video is the one who got your video to go viral. So much of it is just luck.

I would recommend better quality videos, as well as maybe a diverse amount.
I have easily grown 10x what you are saying in the first day of running a fresh YT short account, so what you are doing is completely wrong.

Try to go to succesful shorts channels and see what they are doing also check they title description amd tags

In shorts only certain type of content works. Like comedy videos go viral in shorts. So try to make fun element in the video first.

Only quantity will not solve problem. It is important to have good quality in videos also.

I had never dealt with shorts before, so I decided to give it a try. And this is a question - are 18+ shorts impossible to upload? YT uploads them to regular videos, or what am I doing wrong?
