How is it possible that this channel is monetized?

I found a channel and I was surprised that it is monetized, how is this possible?
This channel https://youtube.com/channel/UCdK0eStYe8lX5Bq0x4dHLhQ uploads content from a Latin series and got millions of views since its channel was created, perhaps it used some trick or simply managed to trick the youtube bot that accepts monetization

Just because it displays "ads", doesn't mean it is monetized. Many channels simply blend ads inside the video on the editing level to completely bypass YouTube monetization rules. You can see this e.g. on viral channels that basically just reupload TikTok content on a mass scale. It's annoying and time-consuming but it can work.

its 2 months old channel so maybe it will get banned later when it gets under youtube radar. but anyway the guy who runs it must be really good since it looks pretty organic and not bot-like. i also think its actually good for youtube, they get content with views so their ads can play and everyone makes money in the end. same as spotify botting while ago.

The channel is not a shorts channel. Vertical videos between 0-1 minute are considered as shorts videos.
