I have a 5kW system which can run entire home with fully loaded equipment and turbine additional since i live side by river which flows 24x7.. And summar is coming i sell power aswell now
Extra Coffee and Beers for Sure.

My house is the only house in the neighborhood without solar panels and I get solar sales reps at my door at least twice a month. The more I do my own research the more I realize how much of a rip off these big box solar companies are. The panels they give you and at the price they sell to you is outrageous. I'm saving money to buy my own better quality panels and just hire a company to install it.

You do not need to hire a company to install for you... it is much easier than one would think.
The electrical aspect, yes, hire a pro, the setting up on your roof is merely grunt work and you probably can handle that.

Depends if its summer or winter. Also i live alone. But id say about $60-70 per month average.

I actually did watch some Youtube videos a while back that gave me some motivation to do it myself. I just figured an installer company would know how to deal with permits and stuff like that. I'm afraid of doing it myself and having my own install denied or something. (I admit I looking into permitting and licensing confuses me a bit)

I think most of us who are serious in this industry and have a handful of things going do as well.
I have 4 in my office and another in the room next to me.
I'm sure I'm violating some laws as to abusing the internet in the process but Uncle Google has yet to knock on my door and tell me to play nice.

Yeah. I also have 4 PCs in my work room and 1 PC + 1 laptop in the living room
I used to keep the screens for the PCs on constantly, but now i keep them all turned off, and even when i need to use any of them i connect with Anydesk.
So at least i save some electricity there.
It sucks in the summer because my work room is small and 4 computers really bring up the temperature
But its good during winter cuz the room stays warm haha

Mount a thru wall ventilation fan near the roof and transfer the heat to other rooms in the winter, keeps the other rooms heating cost down in the winter, get a temperature sensor that switch it on/off automagically. Great way to save some money in the winter month, and spread the cozy warm air.

I also have two ipads active and a Mac that I bought in January that I have yet to set up (thanks for that @Echo) because I'm a lazy no account so and so.

Thats a good idea. Though i can always just move the computers to the other rooms.
I have an ethernet wall socket in each room, so i can totally do that and connect each PC to the internet with a cable.
Yeah, maybe thats better and easier solution

Yeah frankly i should sell 2 of my computers and the lap top and just buy 1 computer thats stronger than them combined. Easy replace, less electricity spent and less space taken.
But also, lazy busy, cant do shit no more

Transfering heat from room to room this way is an old money saving idea, I know we did it at home when I was a child some 50 years ago already. Cheap, and smart way.Yeah, maybe thats better and easier solution
