Is something wrong with the search?

I type the word "********" and I get an error "
Oops! We ran into some problems.
Please specify a search query or the name of a member."

when i type "traffic" is fine

edit: okay so the word "do follow" is against the rules? for some reason its been automatically censored and maybe thats why is not searching for the term? Whats the story behind this?

Yes, that's the reason of not being able to search for it. Since i can remember, that word is filtered. I don't know the reason behind that though.

Without the space, it comes up as asterisks, meaning you can’t really search for it.

That feature was on the forum when I joined and I’ve never gotten the story on why. Wouldn’t mind knowing.

It happens sometimes that the search feature of the forum doesn't works as expected.
When it does or you are not satisfied with the results, do a google search = 'keyword' + 'blackhatworld.com'
Published pages on the forum are indexed real quick and you may get better results than using the local search tool.

i always get a better search result using google than BHW's own search feature .... i don't bother with the search feature here anymore

Nothing wrong with the search, just the words you’re using, agreed we could make this more obvious in the search result. We have a number of words that we censor. This just happens to be one of them for many obvious and not so obvious reasons.

Yes there is a little company, I believe called “Google”, who have some significant budget that they focus on their search product. They are not too bad at it.
